Southampton striker Danny Ings speaking to Match of the Day: "It was the things we work on in the training pitch. I think he [Jan Vertonghen] thought I was going to take the early touch so I cut inside. It's good to score a goal. It's not really a poacher's goal, it's a little more than that so I'm extremely happy with that.
"Every striker knows when you're on a run you have to try and carry on that momemtum. It's a massive win. To start the new year like that was brilliant. We have set ourselves the demands and we strive to be better. I feel like we have done that. This season has been up and down but I feel like we have turned a corner.
"I don't really set targets. I see each game as it's in front of me. I will just keep working hard every day to be the best I can be."
Newcastle 0-3 Leicester
Leicester City
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers: "We played very well. We wanted to attack with and without the ball and we were very good in both aspects. Our pressing got us the first two goals. They obviously lose a man early in the second half and I was pleased with how we controlled the game.
"It's difficult to play with a man less but we had chances to score more and then eventually Hamza gets his first goal for the club. A really good performance.
"They are young players still learning, James has shown he is a top talent consistently, a magical player, and Hamza can get better at that part of his game.
"It's not our concern to catch Liverpool, we get asked all the time but we are about developing the squad and the team.
"The club will look at any players who can make us better but January is a difficult window. You can see the talented squad we have here."

Leicester City
Leicester midfielder James Maddison: "In the week we worked on having to press Newcastle high and credit to our front two for winning the ball back, which led to our first two goals.
"I haven't scored many with my left foot so it was nice to see that go in. Hamza Choudhury is a very talented boy, his goal was better than mine, it was lovely to see it fly in."

Leicester City
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers to BBC Sport: "We played very well in the first half with a new system, the players had great fluency. We pressed really hard.
"We worked them in the second half, stretched the game and it led to the third goal. All three of our goals were wonderful, James Maddison is a magical player who has so much talent and confidence.
"We are so happy for Hamza Choudhury to get his first goal - he's a local boy who loves Leicester City.
"There is no way on this earth that you can ask players to play at the intensity we want without making a lot of changes. We made changes at West Ham and again today.
"Jamie Vardy has a tight calf, he is being treated and I didn't want to take any risks."

Leicester City
Leicester midfielder Hamza Choudhury: "I don't have many shots! I shouted for Ndidi to lay it off and tried for the best connection I could get. My first goal for Leicester, it's one I will always remember.
"We are just concentrating on getting as many results as we can and finishing in the top four."

More from Jose Mourinho on his yellow card speaking to BT Sport: "I was rude. But I was rude with an idiot. I clearly deserved the yellow card. I had bad words with the guy."
On the transfer window: "Come on, we need time to work. We need what we are not having. We need to focus on what we have. We are not looking to be the kings of the market. We are going to work.
"We see the bad result today which is the continuity of the last year. For 12 months, it has been very difficult to get results away from home. It is difficult. The work is not about buying, it is about working with the players on the pitch. It is something that is very difficult for us because we have no time to do it."

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho: "It was quite a strange game. We had no problems defensively. They didn't create great problems. They scored one goal. Danny Ings did well. We were in control apart from that. We didn't create much but enough to score. They stopped the game and defended well. The centre-backs gave a hard game to our attacking players who were aggressive and didn't make mistakes. In the last part of the game without Harry Kane and another striker, without Son, we were limited in our options. I feel it is too harsh the result but it is what it is.
On injured players: "Tanguy Ndombele, I don't know. I imagine this is the tenth injury of the season. They stop him to play. It doesn't give him continuity. We had three days between matches. Once more, he is out again. Harry Kane plays every minute, he plays all the time. It might be big, it might be small. For sure he will be out."

Ederson’s illness means Claudio Bravo starts back-to-back Premier League games in goal for Manchester City for the first time since May 2018.
Bravo is currently going through an intense warm-up in front of me, including a shot-saving drill - a pretty fundamental part of goalkeeping that he memorably failed at in the actual match on the last occasion he faced Everton.
That was at Goodison Park in January 2017, when the Toffees scored with all four of their shots on target in a thumping 4-0 win... so even one save from the Chilean this time would constitute an improvement.

The season started with such promise for West Ham; one defeat in seven at the start of the campaign had them touted by some as top-six contenders.
Going into 2020 they find themselves just a point above the relegation zone with a revised target of beating the drop. A new aim, but a familiar face to help them achieve it. David Moyes returns, having completed the same job 19 months ago. Not the direction West Ham fans envisaged their club going in heading into 2020 perhaps, but needs must.
A win against Bournemouth, who are similarly bereft of confidence, would go some way to bringing positivity back to the London Stadium.

Norwich v Crystal Palace (17:30 GMT)

There has been a VAR hurricane swirling around the Premier League in recent days, and both Norwich and Crystal Palace found themselves in the eye of the storm.
The devil was very much in the detail of the offside calls against Teemu Pukki and Wilfried Zaha, which denied their respective teams important goals on Saturday.
Norwich really do need to start making marginal gains on those above them. They were the only team in the bottom three not to win during the festive period.
Unsurprisingly, history doesn't favour teams bottom of the table at the start of the new year. But the Canaries are determined to prove that their attractive, attacking approach is the method to escape the minefield.

One month ago this looked a foregone conclusion. Home win. No doubt. Now? Nowhere near as clear cut.
When City are "on" they'll still blow most teams away, but with the frustration of being so far off Liverpool's ridiculous title pace quite evident - from the manager through the players - you can't guarantee what's coming from them game to game.
Until recently they might not have needed their A-game to beat Everton, but that's all changed since the Ferguson-started and Ancelotti-improved Toffees revolution.
And if, you know, your history, you may be aware of Carlo Ancelotti besting Pep Guardiola in their previous meetings as managers - two Real Madrid wins versus Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-final of 2014.
Man City v Everton (17:30 GMT)

Everton also make five changes to the XI that began in the 2-1 win at Newcastle.
Fabian Delph, Lucas Digne, Yerry Mina, Bernard and Seamus Coleman come into the side.

David Moyes is going to have to back himself.
With the squad he has got, he has got to get the the best from the players who are there.
West Ham v Bournemouth (17:30 GMT)
New West Ham manager David Moyes says winning is "what he does", and added that the club's owners had showed "a lot of class" in bringing him back for a second spell in charge.
Moyes, who replaces the sacked Manuel Pellegrini, left the Hammers at the end of the 2017-18 season.
He recorded nine wins and 10 draws from 31 games in his first spell, leading the club to Premier League safety.
"They are getting a very experienced Premier League manager," said Moyes.
"I think there's only two or three managers with a better Premier League win record. That's what I do, I win.
"I'm here to get West Ham wins and get them away from the bottom three."
