Quote MessageCeltic have been savage and absolutely blown Hibs away. It's mismatches all over the pitch.
A devastating first-half performance from Celtic has them on course for the final.
Two goals in four minutes from Mohamed Elyounoussi and Callum McGregor put them firmly in command before Melker Hallberg pulled one back against the run of play.
Elyounoussi restored the two-goal cushion and Hibs are left with a mountain to climb at Hampden.
Hibernian 1-3 Celtic
Another dangerous Celtic raid leads to a corner, their eighth so far. The half-time whistle can't come quickly enough for Hibs.

Quote MessageCeltic have that two-goal insurance back. Edouard just peeled on to the full-back. His feet were superb and he could've gone for a goal himself, but he sent it back to Elyounoussi for a simple tap-in. An excellent set-up and goal.
Mohamed Elyounoussi
The Norwegian grabs his second from close range after blinding build-up play by Odsonne Edouard. The French striker skinned his marker down the left and laid the ball on a plate for Elyounoussi.
Hibernian 1-2 Celtic
A breathless first half into the final few minutes now. How Hibs are still in touch is something of a mystery.

Quote MessageAlthough the goal has given Hibs a bit of hope, it still doesn't fix the problems Celtic are giving them. They will want to hold this and come back after half-time with solutions and get back into the game.
Melker Hallberg
Out of nowhere Hibs have halved the deficit. Celtic left-back Boli Bolingoli attempts a tackle on the edge of the box and the ball breaks to Melker Hallberg who slots beyond Fraser Forster from 10 yards. Game on!
Hibernian 0-2 Celtic
Another Celtic breakaway led to Tom Rogic, with James Forrest taking over then cutting inside to drag a left-foot effort wide.
Hibernian 0-2 Celtic
Celtic are slicing Hibs open at will here. Neil Lennon will want another goal from his team before half-time to kill this tie stone dead.

Quote MessageYou have to stay in the game, fix the problems on the pitch. Not only are they losing the ball, they're passing it too often. Hibs have to be a little more pragmatic - Celtic are punishing them every time.

Hibernian 0-2 Celtic
The chances keep coming for Celtic. Tom Rogic feeds Mohamed Elyounoussi inside the box and his finish is bound for the far corner until it takes a nick off a defender and creeps wide.

Quote MessageIt's shocking defending for Celtic's second goal. Edouard is possibly just offside, but Hibs defenders are stepping up when there's no pressure on the ball and it's very costly. Just a simple pass from Edouard and McGregor has tapped it in to the goal with ease.
Hibernian 0-2 Celtic
Nearly a third goal as Jeremie Frimpong marauds down the right and cuts back for Callum McGregor, whose shot from the edge of the box is blocked for a corner.
Christopher Jullien then gets a header on target as Hibs avoid further punishment for now.
Callum McGregor
It's a rampant start from the holders. Kris Ajer pings a long ball upfield to Odsonne Edouard who dinks the ball over advancing Hibs keeper Chris Maxwell, with Calllum McGregor racing in to finish it off from six yards.

Quote MessageFantastic goal for Celtic - Hibs gave away the ball. Forrest dug it out with ease and got it down the field. A brilliant goal, and very well deserved for Elyounoussi.
Mohamed Elyounoussi
James Forrest stands up a cross to the pack post and Elynoussi powers a header into the net.
Moments earlier Celtic had a huge penalty shout when Paul Hanlon blocked Elyounoussi's corner with his arm.
