    Quote Message

Aberdeen have had control in the first half with two really good goals. Kilmarnock have had a couple of chances, and played some good football, but perhaps the lack of centre-backs is their downfall.

  7. HALF-TIME Aberdeen 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Aberdeen have taken full advantage of a makeshift Kilmarnock central defence shorn of players through injuries and suspension.

Curtis Main's first goal for the Dons put his side ahead after 10 minutes and Sam Cosgrove's 16th of the season has Derek McInnes' team in full control.

Kilmarnock have grown into the game, but it is a long way back for a side not noted for scoring many goals.

  8. HALF-TIME Hamilton Academical 0-1 Ross Countypublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Ross County are the better side and have the lead to prove it.

Billy Mckay with the opening goal after shambolic defending from Hamilton allowed Lee Erwin to shoot from the edge of the box. Owain Fon Williams spilled it and there was Mckay to stab home after just 30 seconds played.

County keeper Ross Laidlaw without a save to make in this first half, just not enough quality shown by Accies. They look like proper relegation candidates today.

  9. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Aberdeen 2-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock have still been second best but go close to clawing their way back into the game.

Alan Power fires a long-range effort that is pushed away for a corner by goalkeeper Joe Lewis.

  10. HALF-TIME Motherwell 0-0 Livingstonpublished at 15:47 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

Motherwell and Livingston are arguably two of the most regimented teams in the Scottish Premiership so it should come as little surprise that the first half has been tightly contested.

Livingston are more than happy to sit back, as they do so well, and allow Scott Tiffoney to hold up the ball, skip beyond defenders and cause hassle in the Motherwell box. And he's done it well.

The hosts have dominated the middle of the park through the calming influences of Allan Campbell and Liam Donnelly and have had a handful of chances.

This game could go either way.

This is where the Aberdeen fans get frustrated. They see their team go two goals up then just sit back. The fans are looking for more dominance and to increase their lead - if they do that, the fans recover from that Celtic heartbreak and have something to celebrate.

  12. CLOSE!published at 15:42 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Ross County

Lee Erwin plays in Ross Stewart with a beautiful through ball, but at a tight angle the striker chips his shot over the keeper and wide of the post.

  13. Long shot goes nearpublished at 15:40 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Motherwell 0-0 Livingston

Motherwell threaten again with Chris Long cutting inside and driving a strong left-footed shot towards goal from inside the Livingston box. However, Matija Sarkic gets two hands to it and parries it wide for a corner.

  14. County in state of fluxpublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Ross County

    Jonathan Sutherland

After striking early - the goal from Billy McKay coming after 30 seconds - the thing that has struck me most about the visitors is just how fluid their formation is.

Apart from the keeper and back four all the rest are swapping positions. One minute Ross Stewart is on the left of midfield, the next he’s on the right, the next he’s up front. Lee Erwin, McKay and Michael Gardyne are all rotating as well. Whatever is going on, it’s working.

Fair play to Hamilton after their disastrous start, much more tenacious since and much more of an orthodox 4-4-2.

  15. CLOSE!published at 15:35 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Aberdeen 2-0 Kilmarnock

Kilmarnock are so close to pulling a goal back from Chris Burke's whipped-in free-kick.

It finds Gary Dicker in plenty of space in front of goal, but the big man's flick on comes off the face of goalkeeper Joe Lewis only a couple of feet behind him.

The stand-in centre-half really should have scored.

  17. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 15:33 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Hamilton Academical 0-1 Ross County

Shouts from the away fans after Alex Gogic bundles Ross Stewart over in the penalty area - but the Ross County players were not appealing for that. Accies settling after the early goal - five corners and a few free-kicks in dangerous areas, but they have been unable to haul themselves level.

It's an easy header for Sam Cosgrove six yards out. I thought Kilmarnock were slowly beginning to get into the game, but Aberdeen are just dominating. It looks as though it could be a romp for them today.

Ayr are playing some lovely stuff. Alan Forrest and Luke McCowan are delighting the home fans with their pace and skill. Not, so far, a happy return to Somerset for former Ayr boss Ian McCall.

GOAL - ABERDEEN 2-0 Kilmarnockpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 2 November 2019

    Sam Cosgrove

Curtis Main has taken some confidence from his first Aberdeen goal and sets up Sam Cosgrove with a neat backheel.

The striker's shot is deflected over by a last-ditch Iain Wilson challenge, but his 16th of season of the season is only delayed a matter of seconds as Aberdeen take a short corner and Cosgrove rises to head home from Niall McGinn's outswinging cross.

Kilmarnock's makeshift defence exposed once more.
