    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

    What's this...Palace are looking for a second.

Wilfried Zaha gets down the left and has a dig from the edge of the City box but that's a pretty easy save for Ederson.

  2. YELLOW CARDpublished at 58 mins

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

That's pretty clumsy from Manchester City defender Benjamin Mendy, who gets a yellow for a foul on Jordan Ayew.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has never lost consecutive home league games against an opponent before.

In fact the Spaniard has lost just 13 of his 195 home top-flight games as a manager, losing more than once against only one opponent in that time (Man Utd, twice).

Could that be about to change?

    Great pass.

    Great take and hit.

Plus an equally good save as Wilfried Zaha picks out Cenk Tosun who tests Manchester City keeper Ederson from 18 yards.

    Perfect counter-attacking football.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

There are quite a few empty blue seats dotted around the Etihad stadium this afternoon.

Can't imagine that will be helped if Palace hold on to win here.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

That's more like it from the hosts.

David Silva gets the ball on the turn and runs at the Palace defence before feeding a neat ball to Raheem Sterling.

The England forward gets his effort all wrong though and curls it wide of the right post from 12 yards.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

That's got to be a foul.

Fernandinho goes through Cenk Tosun and Palace win a free-kick in their own half. Can't imagine they will be in a rush to take it.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

Just having a quick look and it doesn't appear that either manager has made any changes at the break.

It's almost exactly a year since Crystal Palace last lost a game after taking the lead - a 4-3 thriller against Liverpool at Anfield on 19 January 2019.

We have seen in the first half here why they are so hard to break down, too.

Not only are they well-drilled and disciplined positionally, they often have nine players in the area when they are defending and have been brave when it comes to blocks when City have found a way through.

The home side's fans were getting frustrated with the Eagles' time-wasting - at goal-kicks, and even the corner that led to the goal - and they have got a LOT more of that to look forward to.

    Speaking of Cenk Tosun....

Crystal Palace's loanee from Everton is only the fourth Turkish player to reach 10 or more Premier League goals, after Muzzy Izzet (34), Tuncay Sanli (20) and Tugay (10).

Not bad company to be keeping, eh.

Tosun's goal has come against the run of play. City have been so dominant but Crystal Palace have defended well and taken their chance. I want to give the credit to Palace because they have defended so well.

    Man City 0-1 Crystal Palace

It's been all City but Palace are ahead at the break.

A Roy Hodgson masterclass so far.

Now David Silva gets in for City but Palace keeper Vicente Guaita holds on to that shot pretty comfortably.

That has to go down as a decent chance to level things up for Manchester City but Bernardo Silva shoots over from the centre of the Palace penalty area.

Another great pass from Kevin de Bruyne to set him up.

  17. City fans try to raise the tempopublished at 41 mins

The City fans had sensed that their side's tempo had dropped ever so slightly and were trying to roar them forward with more urgency before the goal.

It's not easy, though. This Palace team is not particularly ambitious, but it is extremely well organised.

Two clean sheets in 13 games now for Manchester City. Pep Guardiola does not look happy in the technical area.

    Cenk Tosun

    Would you believe it?

Crystal Palace don't score many from corners but could a repeat of last season's win here now be on the cards?

James McArthur swings in a corner from the right and Cenk Tosun nods in on his Palace debut. Big credit goes to Gary Cahill there though, who climbed above John Stones to head the ball into his path.
