    Lautaro Martinez (12 mins)

    Easy as you like!

Torino goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu boots a kick upfield, but it is immediately sent back over the top of the Torino defence and nobody can catch Lautaro Martinez, who slots the ball past Sirigu for the opener.

    Real Madrid 0-1 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad are knocking the ball around nicely and look really smooth in attack.

The hosts are not being allowed to settle on the ball in these opening minutes.

  3. goal

GOAL - Real Madrid 0-1 Real Sociedadpublished at 20:02 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

    Willian Jose (2 mins)

A terrible, terrible error from Sergio Ramos!

The Real Madrid captain sends a pass back towards goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois, but former Real Madrid player Willian Jose is able to nip in past Courtois and slot the ball into an empty net.

What a start that is for the visitors.

    Real Madrid 0-0 Real Sociedad

Real Sociedad have lost 10, and only won one, of their last 12 La Liga visits to the Bernabeu.

    But!

They do boast the best away record in the league so far this season, and they have already beaten Zinedine Zidane's side twice in 2019 - winning both La Liga fixtures last season.

This SHOULD be a great game!

Real Madrid v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT)

    'Disrespectful, misguided, ungrateful'.

Gareth Bale has received heavy criticism in the Spanish media after celebrating Wales Euro 2020 qualification with a flag which read "Wales. Golf. Madrid. In that order", following criticism from fromer Real player Pedja Mijatovic.

Zinedine Zidane insisted he was "not interested" in any of that and "will look only at the sport".

That stance has seen Bale not feature since 5 October, and he starts on the bench again tonight.

  10. How it stands in Spainpublished at 19:52 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

Real Madrid v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT)

Visitors Sociedad have lost just one of their last six games in La Liga, and victory at the Bernabeu tonight would see them leap above Real Madrid in the table.

Before the start of play this weekend, just five points separated the top nine sides.

But with third-placed Atletico Madrid held to a 1-1 draw at Granada this evening, and Sevilla, in fourth, not in action until tomorrow, things could start to look rather familiar again in Spain should Real take three points tonight.

  11. Bale on bench for Real Madridpublished at 19:50 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

Real Madrid v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT)

Zinedine Zidane is forced into one change from the side that put four goals past Eibar before the international break.

Lucas Vazquez has broken a toe after dropping a weight on it in training, and in his absence 18-year-old Rodrygo starts.

Gareth Bale is on the bench (more on that shortly).

Real XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Mendy, Modric, Casemiro, Valverde, Rodrygo, Benzema, Hazard

While the main focus will be on the big game in La Liga this evening, I'll also keep you updated on events in Serie A as Antonio Conte's Inter look to keep pace with leaders Juventus.

Maurizio Sarri's Juve came from behind to beat Atalanta 3-1 earlier today, a result which takes them four points clear of Inter for the time being.

Conte's side can't afford any mistakes.

That one will be under way shortly!

  13. The race is on in La Ligapublished at 19:44 Greenwich Mean Time 23 November 2019

Real Madrid v Real Sociedad (20:00 GMT)

Champions Barcelona came from behind to beat Leganes earlier today, opening up a three point gap on Real Madrid in second place.

The task for Zinedine Zidane's side is simple enough, then. Only victory will do.

But tonight they face a tough test against fifth-placed Real Sociedad this evening.
