    Yes, yes it is.

They're going top as it stands.

There have been a couple of early chances at either end between Fulham and Bristol City.

Firstly, former Robins defender Joe Bryan whips in a cross towards Anthony Knockaert, who volleys over the bar from close range.

Then Famara Diedhiou works onto a wayward Tom Cairney pass to shoot towards goal but his effort goes wide.

    Sam Vokes (7 mins)

Stoke take the lead at the KCOM!

Wales international Sam Vokes works his way into the box and heads goalbound, it takes a deflection and it's in.

That's the perfect start for Michael O'Neill's side.

It's been a difficult start to life as Lincoln boss for Michael Appleton since he took over in September.

However, the Imps have taken an early lead at Burton through Harry Anderson's header.

    Well that didn't take long!

George Saville gives Middlesbrough the lead inside just 52 seconds after the ex-Wolves and Bristol City midfielder latches onto Ashley Fletcher's tee-up to slot the ball home.

Or should that be Tees up? I'll get my coat..

  7. Johnson ready to upset familypublished at 14:57 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

Fulham v Bristol City (15:00 GMT)

    Lee JohnsonImage source, Rex Features

Lee Johnson knows a win for his Bristol City side at Fulham can lift the Robins level on points with their third-placed hosts in the Championship table, but it could also cause a bit of domestic strife.

"A lot of my family are Fulham fans," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "They'll be taking up half the stand, and for one day only, they'll be Bristol City fans."

It won't be easy for the Robins, as Scott Parker's Cottagers have won their past four games including home wins over QPR and Derby.

Mind you, their own record's not too bad with one defeat in seven and won four on the bounce in this particular corner of West London.

  8. Bonne to get off the mark again?published at 14:55 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Middlesbrough v Charlton (15:00 GMT)

    Macauley BonneImage source, Rex Features

Charlton's first season back in the Championship has seen them occupy midtable for much of the campaign but they do have an ace up their sleeve.

Macauley Bonne has done well when he's started so far this term. Of his 11 Championship starts, he's been involved in seven goals - six goals and one assist.

The Addicks make the long trip north to Teesside this afternoon to face a struggling Middlesbrough side who won just once in their past 12 Championship games.

Can Bonne be involved in another goal today?

  9. Neil targets yet another QPR winpublished at 14:52 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    QPR v Preston (15:00 GMT)

    Alex NeilImage source, Rex Features

Strangely enough, Preston boss Alex Neil may have a softer spot for their opponents today than most.

In his relatively short time as manager, the Scot has faced QPR a fair few times, as he prepares to play them once more this afternoon.

Since joining North End as their boss, Neil has won more games against QPR (four) than against any other side.

A fifth victory today could get their form back on track as they look to end a run of three straight defeats.

  10. Blackburn aim to continue fine formpublished at 14:49 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Blackburn v Derby (15:00 GMT)

    Tony MowbrayImage source, Rex Features

Blackburn welcome Derby to Ewood Park and come into this fixture off the back of winning their past three Championship home games which has seen them rise to 11th in the table.

One area Tony Mowbray may want his side to exploit when these two teams meet this afternoon is from set pieces - something Debry have struggled with this season.

Phillip Cocu's side have conceded the joint-highest amount of goals from set pieces this term and are yet to register two consecutive victories in all competitions this term.

  11. Stoke hoping to avoid another defeatpublished at 14:47 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Hull v Stoke (15:00 GMT)

    Michael O'NeillImage source, Rex Features

Here's a stat which goes some way to summing up the torrid time that Stoke have had so far this season.

Only League One strugglers Southend (15) have lost more league games than Stoke's 13 in the top four tiers of English football this term.

Unfortunately for the Potters, they travel to Hull today looking to arrest that decline, but they face a side who've strung three clean sheets from their past five home games and they will look to shut out their opponents again this afternoon.

  12. A quiet afternoon at the Madejski?published at 14:45 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Reading v Birmingham (15:00 GMT)

    Madejski StadiumImage source, Rex Features

Don't look to this fixture if you're after an absolute goal fest today.

In recent times, matches between Reading and Birmingham have been quiet affairs. There have been just four goals scored in the past four fixtures between the Royals and Blues.

To add to that, Reading haven't scored a single goal in their past five home league games against Birmingham, either.

What a time this would be to tear that past form up, eh?

Sheff Wed v Brentford (15:00 GMT)

    Garry MonkImage source, Rex Features

Garry Monk's Sheffield Wednesday are currently in the midst of some fine form at their Hillsborough home.

His side are unbeaten in their past six home Championship matches and welcome a Brentford side who haven't done too well there of late.

The Bees have lost their past two league trips to Hillsborough, however they've never lost three on the bounce.

  14. Tykes look to repair away formpublished at 14:41 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Cardiff v Barnsley (15:00 GMT)

    Gerhard StruberImage source, Rex Features

Championship strugglers Barnsley registered a rare win last week when they beat Hull 3-1 at home, but they are still bottom of the table coming into today's trip to Cardiff.

Should they beat the Bluebirds in their own back yard, it will be the first time the Tykes have won consecutive Championship matches since November 2017.

However the odds may be stacked against them. They haven't won away from home in the Championship since beating Birmingham in February 2018 - a run of 16 games.

    Luton v Wigan (15:00 GMT)

Wigan striker Graeme Jones and Luton defender Steve DavisImage source, Rex Features

Graeme Jones was once the darling of the terraces at Wigan, when he was a £100,000-goal machine who helped the 'Tics to the Division Three title in 1996-97.

These days, he's the Luton Town boss and his battered and bruised side - thrashed 7-0 at Brentford last time out - welcome his old club in a bid to turn their form around.

One win in seven has seen the Hatters slide to within one place of the drop zone, coincidentally kept above Wigan by a point.

Paul Cook's side are without any wins in seven, conceding three goals in the last 11 minutes against Reading to lose 3-1 last weekend.

Doesn't bode for anything other than a tense, nervy games from two potentially panicking teams.

  16. Can Ipswich close the gap?published at 14:37 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    League One

With League One leaders Wycombe Wanderers not in action today, second-placed Ipswich Town will close the gap to the Gareth Ainsworth's side to two points if they're able to win at fifth-placed Coventry City.

Elsewhere at the top, Peterborough United's trip to Portsmouth looks a tasty one, with Pompey currently on a three-game winning streak.

At the other end, Bolton Wanderers may sense an opportunity to haul themselves within touching distance of second-from-bottom Southend United.

Keith Hill's side host 19th-placed AFC Wimbledon, while Southend face a tricky trip to Bristol Rovers.

  17. 'Advanced talks' over Macclesfield salepublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 7 December 2019

    Macclesfield P-P Crewe

It's been a testing week for everyone involved at Macclesfield Town - and it's a week that will conclude with no game, after Saturday's scheduled meeting with Crewe was suspended by the English Football League.

The club's players have refused to play in protest over unpaid wages, saying their mental wellbeing was at "rock bottom".

But is there some light at the end of the tunnel at last?

This morning, owner Amar Alkadhi said he is in "advanced negotiations with various third parties" over a possible takeover.

Swindon Town have been absolutely flying at the top of the second tier, with 17 goals from Eoin Doyle - on loan from fellow promotion hopefuls Bradford City - helping them win each of their past five fixtures.

Huddersfield v LeedsImage source, Rex Features

Leeds claim a routine win at Huddersfield to go top of the Championship.

After a tight, scrappy first half the visitors took the lead through Ezgjan Alioski's crisply struck volley before Pablo Hernandez secured the win with a header after a brilliant counterattack.

Injury-hit Huddersfield competed throughout but were just outclassed.
