Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Rangers' six-game winning streak was brought to an end in Rotterdam, but the 2-2 Europa League draw with Feyenoord means Steven Gerrard's side remain unbeaten in their last 10 outings since losing away to Young Boys in the same competition.

They have won six games in a row at Ibrox since losing at home to Premiership leaders Celtic on 1 September, scoring 18 goals and conceding only two.

  2. Hearts struggle against Rangerspublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Rangers are unbeaten in eight games against Hearts at Ibrox since a 2-1 defeat in August 2014 while both sides were in the Championship.

The Glasgow side have won six of those. Indeed, Rangers have not lost in their last 11 meetings overall with Hearts since a 4-1 loss at Tynecastle back in February 2017.

  3. Happy 'homecoming' for Christiepublished at 14:40 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    FT: Ross County 1-4 Celtic

Two-goal Celtic hero Ryan Christie tells BBC Scotland: "To score four goals in a dominant performance, we're pretty happy.

"I got pretty lucky with the penalty. But I was delighted to get on the scoresheet - that's my job to score and assist so the more the better.

"Lewis Morgan coming in, he's been absolutely superb. He hasn't played much in the past two months and has just played two in a week."

It was something of a homecoming for Inverness-born Christie and the former Caley Thistle star.

He said: "I was the only one on the bus last night not complaining - coming home, see some old faces, and getting a win against our [Inverness'] old rivals."

  5. Hearts 'a massive test' - Ojopublished at 14:35 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Winger Sheyi Ojo, who thinks he is progressing well at Rangers and is pleased to have joined on loan from Liverpool, is hoping his side can avoid any fatigue from Thursday's Europa League draw with Feyenoord in Netherlands.

"We need to recover well for a massive test against Hearts," he said. "There are so many big games coming up that we need to win, so we will quickly switch our focus to making sure we get the three points.

"Playing at home is obviously a massive advantage. We've already seen that with the games against Porto and Feyenoord at Ibrox.

"The main thing is that if we can play like how we know we can play as Rangers Football Club then we can beat anyone."

Stuart Kettlewell's got to change County's defensive record soon or they don't stay in the Premiership. County don't have much pace at the back and he might look to add to that in the January transfer window

  7. Kettlewell unhappy at disallowed goalpublished at 14:30 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    FT: Ross County 1-4 Celtic

Ross County co-manager Stuart Kettlewell is unhappy with the late 'goal' that was chopped off.

"I'm not saying it impacted the result, but it's a massive frustration," he says. "Ross Stewart is clearly onside, Brian Graham is clearly walking back away from the goal.

"It's not that it would have got us back in the game - the goal difference is a crucial part of the season. We feel we should have had a second goal here today.

"It's the principle of the game and it's the principle of the officiating. I think the guy has got it completely wrong. I've never seen a referee give an offside and the linesman tear into his position, stand for a few seconds, then put his flag up.

"I'm led to believe there was a conversation between the guys - again, I think everyone can make their mind up on that."

  8. 'We were a constant threat'published at 14:26 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    FT: Ross County 1-4 Celtic

Some more from a satisfied Celtic boss Neil Lennon...

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he said: "Ryan [Christie] hit the post early on with a free-kick, he scored two great goals. The second one was a brilliant goal, a brilliant run and an outstanding finish. We were a constant threat. We had to work at breaking Ross County down, but the longer the game went on we looked like we got more and more stronger, powerful and penetrating as well. In the end four goals is a very good total away from home but it could have been more.

"It's important that we maintain the momentum. The priority is the league. We've had a few nice things said about us after Thursday but it's irrelevant now. It was important to come here and win and open up the gap and then put pressure on the rest of the teams around us.

"It's very important. There's no signs of them letting up at the moment and they gave me the response that I wanted at half time. So it has been another good day of work after very little time to recover."

  9. We got everything we wanted - Lennonpublished at 14:21 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

    FT: Ross County 1-4 Celtic

Celtic manager Neil Lennon believes his side showed a little complacency by letting County back into the game in the first half but remains delighted with the attacking intent he has seen in his side despite the absence of Odsonne Edouard.

"I think in the second half we got everything that we wanted," he tells BBC Scotland. "We started the game very well and then just got a little complacent and came off it a little bit and allowed Ross County back in to the game.

"But our response was fantastic and we had good control of the second half. Going forward, we looked very, very hungry and we look a real threat."

  10. Halkett back for Heartspublished at 14:17 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

Centre-half Craig Halkett returns to the Hearts side after seven weeks on the sidelines through injury and it is a timely one considering two fellow defenders have been ruled out after featuring in last weekend's 3-0 defeat away to Kilmarnock.

Northern Ireland international Michael Smith is ill and Clevid Dikamona injured.

Caretaker boss Austin MacPhee also drafts in 21-year-old Jamie Brandon at right-back.

  12. Hearts manager wait goes onpublished at 14:11 Greenwich Mean Time 1 December 2019

Rangers v Heart of Midlothian (15:00)

There's been much comment about how long it is taking Hearts to appoint a replacement for Craig Levein, especially when you consider city rivals Hibernian have sacked and appointed a new head coach in the interim..

Levein was relieved from his managerial duties on 31 October and still we wait for news of his replacement.

Former Barnsley manager Daniel Stendal is the latest to have held talks with the Tynecastle club, but so have former Birmingam City boss Steve Cotterill, former Motherwell and Rangers boss Stuart McCall, the much-travelled Alan Irvine and former Hearts winger Neil McCann.

It's complicated by the fact Hearts are also looking for a director of football, with Levein having combined the roles, and Austin MacPhee, who was his assistant, is in caretaker charge for a third game and hopes he is still in the running for at least one of those roles.

MacPhee 'definitely' in charge at Ibrox

Interim Hearts manager Austin MacPhee says he will "definitely" remain in charge for Sunday's Scottish Premiership trip to face Rangers.

Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has resisted the urge to make many changes after Thursday's 2-2 draw away to Feyenoord.

Scotland midfielder Ryan Jack and on-loan Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo drop to the bench, while former England forward Jermain Defoe has recovered from the knock that ruled him out in midweek and is back among the substitutes.

A spirited effort from Ross County who will no doubt feel hard done by after that second Ross Stewart effort was ruled offside. The hosts gave what they could but Celtic’s class made it near impossible to stop them.

No doubt the travelling support will enjoy their scenic trip back down the A9 after another successful outing.

Celtic move three points clear at the top of the Premiership - for a couple of hours anyway. It's over to Rangers to respond at home to Hearts.

It's now 10 straight wins for Neil Lennon's men and that will do the goal difference no harm.

Ryan Christie got a double in the first half, with Tom Rogic and Mikey Johnston on target after the interval.

Ross Stewart briefly levelled the game and was denied a second consolation goal late on by some odd refereeing.
