It is about the pass from Jordan Henderson. Sadio Mane gets inside the full-back, picks the right pass and it is a great finish from Roberto Firmino to put Liverpool ahead. Perfect from Firmino. He slows things down inside the box.
Roberto Firmino
Once, twice, three times... Roberto Firmino has another chance at the start of the half and this time he takes it!
Jordan Henderson, again like that first chance of the match for Firmino, uses his right boot like a scalpel to slice open the Flamengo defence, Sadio Mane collecting and looking inside to see Firmino.
The Brazilian twists and turns around Diego Alves, keeping his composure to slot in.
Deadlock broken.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Just as I say that Filipe Luis bursts forward down the left and crosses to Gabriel Barbosa. His header across is weak and finds Jordan Henderson. Then Liverpool spring forward...
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
You feel Liverpool's energy might prove the difference here. Naby Keita is sharp to a loose ball to win back possession in his own half, starting an attack which ends with his low shot from the edge of the area blocked.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
First sign of danger from Flamengo in extra time. Vitinho skips down the left and into the Liverpool box, fizzing in a cross which Virgil van Dijk bats behind for a corner. That's wasted...
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Gabriel Barbosa needs a stretcher to take him off the pitch, but is soon on his feet once he reaches the touchline. I think Klopp was right...
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Flamengo's problem might be a physical one. Gabriel Barbosa goes down with what appears to be cramp, shrugging his shoulders and gesturing at Reds boss Jurgen Klopp who suggests he is acting up.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Liverpool straight on the attack. Andy Robertson sits up a floating ball to the back post, where Filipe Luis beats Mo Salah to the ball. Willian Arao calmly mops up with a nudge back to his keeper.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
We go again as Stevie G once said. We're Flamengo-a-go-go.

Former Liverpool and England midfielder on BBC One
I am a bit gobsmacked it was not a foul. I think there was a slight touch. The thing is, clear and obvious we talk about. The referee made a decision, was it a clear and obvious mistake? I don't think it was.
He was there a long time, so he was not sure. If it is more than 30 seconds looking at a decision it is not a clear and obvious mistake.
If you take VAR out of the equation, Liverpool can say their finishing has let them down. They have had a lot of chances.

BBC pundit Danny Murphy still reckons it is penalty. Colleague Glen Johnson reckons it was a free-kick. Both agree it should have been a red card for Rafinha.

There were some great opportunities for Liverpool at the start of both halves. I just wonder how much energy Liverpool can get back into the legs for extra time.

Liverpool fans look a little deflated after that VAR decision which would have given them a chance of victory. Jurgen Klopp gathers around his troops and gees them up. Big team talk.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Duh-duh-du-du-du-duh. Drama worthy of the Eastenders drums. Now we're going to have another 30-minute bonus episode...
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Liverpool go long in the direction of Sadio Mane but he can't get the ball under and it skips out for a goal-kick. Extra-time surely...
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
Wow. So there'll be another couple of minutes left after that stoppage. Anyone up for another twist...?

It has been celebrated in the ground like a goal by the Flamengo fans.
I am quite surprised. I do think it is a foul. The correct decision would have been to give a foul outside the box.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
This is Hollywood. The ref is going full DiCaprio on us. The TV motion... followed by a wave away of the hands. NO PENALTY! No free-kick. Yellow card rescinded for Rafinha.
Liverpool 0-0 Flamengo
The tension is turning my stomach. Looks outside to me... referee Abdulrahman Al Jassim is having a good, long look.
What is the decision going to be? Can't cope.
