I am a bit gobsmacked it was not a foul. I think there was a slight touch. The thing is, clear and obvious we talk about. The referee made a decision, was it a clear and obvious mistake? I don't think it was.

He was there a long time, so he was not sure. If it is more than 30 seconds looking at a decision it is not a clear and obvious mistake.

If you take VAR out of the equation, Liverpool can say their finishing has let them down. They have had a lot of chances.

BBC pundit Danny Murphy still reckons it is penalty. Colleague Glen Johnson reckons it was a free-kick. Both agree it should have been a red card for Rafinha.

There were some great opportunities for Liverpool at the start of both halves. I just wonder how much energy Liverpool can get back into the legs for extra time.

Liverpool fans look a little deflated after that VAR decision which would have given them a chance of victory. Jurgen Klopp gathers around his troops and gees them up. Big team talk.

Duh-duh-du-du-du-duh. Drama worthy of the Eastenders drums. Now we're going to have another 30-minute bonus episode...

I am quite surprised. I do think it is a foul. The correct decision would have been to give a foul outside the box.
