Play carried on for a good few minutes before the ball eventually goes out of play. There's a bit of pushing and shoving between both sets of players. Though technically Newcastle didn't do anything wrong as the referee waved play on.

VAR has a quick check for a red card in the melee, but nothing is given.

Newcastle win two corners in quick succession but neither cause much trouble. The ball eventually falls to Andy Carroll who sends a wild half-volley way over the bar. The visitors have not offered much in front of goal so far.

That was not far away either. Dwight McNeil does really well to dig out a cross from the left towards Chris Wood at the near post, but the ball goes just over.

Steve Bruce is having a moan at the fourth official, he isn't happy about the corner that was given for the goal.

The referee initially gave a goal-kick before changing his mind after a signal from his assistant. Replays suggest the officials came to the right decision though.

Ashley Westwood does not always get the credit he deserves. That corner in is absolutely inch-perfect. He sends it straight to Chris Wood and all he has to do is put it in. That's clearly been worked on over and over again on the training ground and boy is it paying off.
