Arthur Masuaku is the main culprit, weakly heading a cross straight at James Justin who pumps the ball back to Ayoze Perez before Kelechi Iheanacho nods in the knockdown.

The rest of the Hammers defence does not cover itself in glory either as Perez and Iheanacho do their thing. Very static.

I have to say it's the first time in this half that West Ham have looked to be positive! At last. And they have got a goal from it. Pablo Fornals got his head down and there's not a chance for Kasper Schmeichel in the Leicester goal.

Hope for the Hammers.

Amazing what a goal can do. West Ham win a corner from which Sebastien Haller hooks into the side-netting. Half the ground thought it was in.

A few minutes of stoppage time. And suddenly West Ham have the bit between their teeth...

Relief all round! Not least for Manuel Pellegrini who leaps to his feet and shows more emotion than I've probably ever seen him show. Even after he won the Premier League title.

Better from West Ham. Sebastien Haller goes close to offer as sign of hope. Can they grab something before the break? Anything will do.

Leicester are sniffing blood here. Demarai Gray is put through after burning off the Hammers defence but slashes his shot well wide.

Manuel Pellegrini looks like he just seen the ghost of Christmas past. The Hammers boss looks drawn, pulling his face down the both hands.

Oh no. Pablo Fornals, who has been one of West Ham's brightest sparks today, tries to go left with the outside of the boot. He finds touch.

Can that give the Hammers a much-needed confidence boost? Very scrappy this.

Finally something for the West Ham fans to get excited about. Marc Albrighton loses possession and Pablo Fornals gallops forward with two defenders back-pedalling in front of him.

Felipe Anderson arrives in support, his cross falling to skipper Declan Rice. But his half volley is awkward and thumps into the turf to lose sting. Easy catch for Kasper Schmeichel.

Leicester starting to get on top now... after that corner is half cleared, Wes Morgan stays upfield and meets a ball back into the box with a stooping header. Lukasz Fabianski saves and the flag is up anyway.

And luckily for West Ham that Masuaku was back in position... Marc Albrighton swings a ball in from the left and with James Justin arriving at the far post, Masuaku is well placed to head clear.

After a few grimaces and a chat with the physio, Arthur Masuaku will be fine to carry on.

West Ham started to struggle now, those ghosts of recent performances coming back in their minds. More groans as another forward pass goes straight to a Leicester man.
