Hamilton head coach Brian Rice is disappointed with the result but pleased with his side's performance despite a defeat that leaves them bottom of the Premiership.

"I'm feeling disappointed to come up here and battle the way we did and to lose a sloppy goal - it's fine margins in this league," he tells BBC Scotland.

"Fair play to Aberdeen, they've scored the goal and won the game.

"We had plenty of possession but never had the cutting edge, but we've lost the game 1-0 and not been turned over and been in the game.

"I can't ask any more of the boys - they are sweating blood in that shirt and I'm so disappointed for them. In the last five games, it's been one goal in it."

Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes thought a virus that swept through Pittodrie this week had hampered his side but said "a win is a win" after beating Hamilton

"It was a thoroughly deserved win on the balance of chances," he tells BBC Scotland. "First half, I thought we were very good in controlling the game and Joe Lewis has had nothing to do for the whole 90 minutes.

"When you are guilty of missing the chances we did, it does make it a bit tougher and Hamilton came here full of spirit and well-organised and, the longer the game goes, the more they believe they can get something out of it.

"I was delighted to get Funso Ojo on the pitch and you see what he means to the team - he controlled the middle of the pitch - and we lost it when he went off at half-time."

St Mirren manager Jim Goodwin doesn't believe today's wet and windy affair with Livingston should have been called off, but admits that all but one of the six goals on show today were probably avoidable if not for the conditions.

He said : "I think the decision to play the game was the right one. I've certainly played in worse conditions and the pitch was fine. It was a little bit heavy but there was no water on the surface. Yes, there were high winds which were difficult to deal with at the time, but living in this country if we're going to call games off in conditions like that then we'll have a lot of postponements over the course of the season.

"It wasn't a particularly good game of football. The conditions didn't allow for that. All three of the goals that we've conceded are extremely poor. I think there was only one good goal in the game and that was our second one. Every other goal was avoidable from both teams."

Livingston manager Gary Holt is frustrated to lose a 3-1 lead and believes all six goals can be chalked up to the severe wind and rain in Paisley.

Speaking to BBC Scotland, he says: "I know the pitch was playable and the surface was really good but the conditions weren't. For both teams. Both teams served up a good game. The goals are something both sides will be disappointed with but I think the conditions played a big part in that."

When asked if he thought the game should have been called off, he said: "It's always tough because people want to see the games and at the end of the day they've seen six goals. But I think it's six goals that could have been avoided."

And was he ultimately happy with a point?

"It's away from home," said Holt. "Unbeaten in four and we could have won the game. Yes, by all means, we were 3-1 up but teams aren't going to just lie down when you go ahead. They're going to throw everything at you and St Mirren did that. We could have dealt with the goals better."

St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright is delighted after a first away win in nearly 12 months and back-to-back clean sheets.

"It's been a long time coming but we thoroughly deserved it," he tells BBC Sportsound. "We created the clear-cut chances. We knew they would press us - I'd watched the way Daniel Stendel had Barnsley playing - and we got in behind them regularly.

"We defended well and that gave us a platform to go and hurt them. I told the players to out-work them and they fought for everything today."

The Perth side rise to 10th from last place in the Premiership.
