Deepdale is filling up slowly for the Alex Neil derby. Preston's form has gone off a cliff a bit of late, perhaps a Cup tie against a Premier League side is what's needed to gee everyone up for the second half of the season.

Ralph Hasenhuttl is one of a number of Premier League managers playing the rotation game as Southampton welcome Huddersfield to St. Mary's in the FA Cup third round.

The Saints boss has no injury concerns following a 1-0 win over Tottenham on New Year's Day but acknowledged the club had faced a hectic festive schedule.

"We had a very busy period with a lot of very intense games with short breaks in between," Hasenhuttl said.

"Players are waiting for their chance to show up and show that they are able to win games for us. We want to take this challenge very seriously in this competition."

Only in the FA Cup could you get a 17-year-old crossing for a 40-year-old to score.

That's what happened as Aaron Wilbraham turned in a cross from teenager Luke Matheson to earn Rochdale a 1-1 draw against Newcastle.

"It was a great ball in by Luke," Wilbraham told BBC Radio 5 live. "He is a young lad who is willing to listen and willing to improve.

"We played football in the second half. We mixed it up well and were unlucky not to win the game.

"It will be a great experience for the lads to go up to St James' Park. We will go there to try and express ourselves."

Rochdale will enjoy it up at St James' Park. They know more about them know and can see where they have hurt them today. If Brian Barry-Murphy uses a target man up front like he did Aaron Wilbraham in the second half, then it will cause Newcastle problems.

Now Rotherham at the other end with a BIG chance! Mental stuff this. It's a header from Jamie Lindsay and it bounces off the right post. Matt Ingram dives on top of the ball.

    Huge relief for Hull.

It's another header and he keeps his cool as the ball comes to him on the left side of the box. Lovely stuff.
