  1. CLOSE!published at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Charlton 0-1 West Brom

Charlton have just come as close as you can get to an equaliser! First, Andre Green's powerful shot is saved low to the keeper's left post, before the resulting corner is ricocheted into the six-yard box and is eventually pounced upon by West Brom's Jonathan Bond.

  2. Postpublished at 15:15 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Tottenham

Christian Eriksen tries to get Spurs back into this one with a curling dipper. Not sure if that was meant to be a shot or a cross but either way, it drifts way out.

Spurs are making a double change. Giovani Lo Celso and Erik Lamela on, Harry Winks and Ryan Sessegnon off. They revert to a flat back four.

  3. goal

GOAL - Bristol Rovers 2-2 Coventrypublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Tony Craig o.g (53 mins)

    Level again.

Tony Craig gets his second of the match, although the first was in the opposition net.

The Rovers man could only turn Liam Walsh's cross from the right into his own net.

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Fletcher has kept his composure, nobody was near him and you immediately think that's got to be offside when the ball is played through. Some of the Spurs players were complaining about it but you can't complain about it - the assistant referee has made the decision. Fletcher has had very few chances - well no chances at all - but first time it goes over the top and he gets away and scores. The decision is so tight though.

  5. Postpublished at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Sheffield United 1-0 AFC Fylde

Callum Robinson thought he had scored his and his side's second of the afternoon, but not if Sam Hornby has got anything to do with it!

The Fylde stopper shows great reactions to deny him from close range at the back post.

  6. CLOSE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Crystal Palace 0-1 Derby

James McCarthy's deflected effort is pushed away Kelle Roos in the Derby goal.

The Eagles have not created too much in this game, but they came close there.

  7. CLOSE!published at 15:13 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Crewe 1-1 Barnsley

Ooooh, Jacob Brown could have added his second for Barnsley, moments after Crewe equalise.

Elliot Simoes crosses it in from the left, aiming for the tall figure of Bambo Diaby but it's punched clear.

Jacob Brown picks up the rebound but fires it inches over the crossbar. So close!

  8. Postpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Middlesbrough 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs have now conceded first in eight of their 12 matches under Jose Mourinho.

  9. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:12 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Bristol Rovers 2-1 Coventry

Ed Upson almost scores one of the goals of the round - smacking a volley on the full from outside the area which comes off Cov's far post.

    A beauty of a strike.

  10. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Sheffield United 1-0 AFC Fylde

There was a short delay to the second half getting under way at Bramall Lane after one of the officials fell unwell during the break.

But the whistle has now sounded and the hosts are on top in the early exchanges.

  11. Everton's big chancepublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Liverpool v Everton (16:01 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Everton have not won at Anfield since September 1999. Carlo Ancelotti has gone pretty much full strength here so they will surely never have a better chance to end that awful record.

  12. Postpublished at 15:11 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

Callum Hudson-Odoi continues where he left off, winning a corner on the right after another marauding run down the wing.

GOAL - Crewe 1-1 Barnsleypublished at 15:09 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Paul Green (48 mins)

The goals are rolling in early!

This was like pinball - balls being lifted from left to right, over the box, before one finally sits up for Paul Green, who nods it in from a few yards out.

    Game on.

  14. goal

GOAL - Middlesbrough 1-0 Tottenhampublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Ashley Fletcher (50 mins)

Ashley Fletcher defies the offside trap perfectly, breaking free of the Spurs defence before coolly finishing past Paulo Gazzaniga.

Spurs players say he was offside, but there's no VAR in use at the Riverside!

  15. Postpublished at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Charlton 0-1 West Brom

An early chance for West Brom, who spread the play from left to right with speed. Solid defending from Charlton though.

But what of this stat I found out at half time...

Seven of Charlton's starting line-up weren't born when Gareth Barry made his professional debut. What a stat!

  16. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:08 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Bristol Rovers 2-1 Coventry

A super early chance for Coventry as Jordi van Stappershoef pats down a firm strike from Matt Godden.

The Sky Blues need to step it up, and have.

    Sheffield United 1-0 AFC Fylde

    Neil Johnston
    BBC Sport at Bramall Lane

An interesting announcement over the Bramall Lane speakers at half-time.

"Can any qualified match officials in the ground make yourself known to a steward."

Two minutes later: "The position has now been filled."

Apparently a new fourth official is required for the second half...

  19. Klopp's warm welcome for Ancelottipublished at 15:05 Greenwich Mean Time 5 January 2020

    Liverpool v Everton (16:01 GMT)

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Anfield

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp offers warm words to new Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti in his programme notes.

Klopp writes: "Carlo being back in the English game is so cool for the competitors and even cooler for Everton. I'm not sure if I'm doing either of us any favours by saying this but in football terms I really do consider him a friend. Such an amazing person and just so generous in spirit and personality.

"He's won all there is to win, as a player and a coach, and yet remains chilled and humble. He is the benchmark for those of use working in the game today on how to conduct yourself."
