Arsenal really overplay this one at the back and Burnley get possession - but fortunately for the Gunners they've ended up going backwards.

About Nick Pope, and I hope I don't jinx him. Can we have a thumbs up for him to start for England at the Euros and thumbs down if you'd prefer Pickford. I rate Dean Henderson but Pope has more experience.

Arsenal make a half-time change. Bukayo Saka has failed to recover from that knock. Lucas Torreira is on. Granit Xhaka to left-back?

Arsenal have had just 60 shots in the Premier League since Mikel Arteta was appointed - the joint-fewest in the Premier League along with Crystal Palace.

This fourth spot - it seems no-one really wants it. I think it is all down to the striker that nobody managed to get.

Why are Burnley fans booing everything and everybody?!

    John

To all the Fans that seems to be bothered by Burnley fans booing downed players. Maybe it's something to do with making out like all week your coming to a rugby match. One yellow card - Ozil (Arsenal) ... Burnley playing some good football ... Sour Grapes ?

Dan - A grounded Burnley Fan

I wonder how many of the Arsenal fans who held up 'Wenger Out' placards now regret that? At his worst he was still delivering top 4.

I think Mikel Arteta is going to find out what his team are all about. Who is going to be leading from the front, showing some character?

Burnley put you under pressure, they are a hard-working team with a physical approach.

Arsenal looked tidy to the eye, they tried to set the tone, but later on in the half they had to defend and I think they have done quite well.

Ben Rogers: Burnley have to be disappointed that they’ve not broken down a team of Arsenal’s stature so far.

Big Gray: MA needs to fire a few tea cups around the dressing room at half time.

Mike May: Arteta needs to deal with Xhaka, Luiz and Ozil. Their petty, stroppy indiscipline is one big thing costing Arsenal composure. And it's not the Arsenal way. Sort it out Mikel!

Craig Smith: Surely Pepe needs to come on for Lacazette! Make Burnley worry about the ball over top. Lacazette very ineffective right now, his confidence is clearly lacking.

TodClaret1882: Arsenal are a disgrace. Throwing themselves down left, right and centre. Burnley by far the better side at half time.

    On Ozil's late yellow card

It was a stand-off as if to say 'I am not going to walk to you'. It is the referee's right to talk to him but Mesut Ozil decided against it. He warned him, he even got halfway, the referee, and then he got out the yellow card.

Steven Bergwijn will be involved for Tottenham following the winger's £26.7m move from PSV Eindhoven.

Injured trio Harry Kane, Moussa Sissoko and Ben Davies remain out.

Manchester City will monitor Fernandinho, who has missed the last two matches through injury.

Centre-back Aymeric Laporte, who recently returned from a lengthy lay-off, missed the midweek derby against Manchester United because of fatigue and will also be assessed.

Leroy Sane is not yet ready to feature, while Benjamin Mendy is again set to miss out.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 44 mins

Needless yellow card for Mesut Ozil as he moans to the referee and then walks away as Chris Kavanagh is trying to talk to him. So he gets booked for dissent.
