  2. '100% I thought the goal was going to stand'published at 22:32 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    FT: Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Kelechi Iheanacho speaking to Sky Sports: "It's frustrating. We shouldn't have lost this game but it happened, so we should learn from it. We just need to focus on the next games and get the points that we need."

On his disallowed goal: "100% I thought the goal was going to stand, but I haven't seen the replay. I thought it hit the defender's hand, and I didn't think it hit my hand, but if that's the rule then there's nothing we can do about it.

"When we get the goal, we'll get our confidence back and we'll get the ball moving. I thought we would have won it from there and got a couple more goals, but we move on.

"It should be a worry for us [that] we haven't won in a long time now, so we should have it in the back of our mind that teams like Chelsea and Manchester United are coming behind us and we need to be careful. We need to work hard and fight to get the points we need."

  3. 'Let's see how far we can go'published at 22:28 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Norwich City

Norwich boss Daniel Farke, speaking to BBC: "I am pretty proud. We are playing in the best league in the world and played against one of the best teams in the league and to get a clean sheet and a deserved win we can be pretty proud. It is an amazing result.

"It was a well deserved goal because it has been a tough year for Jamal because of the spell on the sidelines and he had to wait to come back into the side. It was his first Premier League goal and well deserved. Both my full-backs were on top of their game today. I need my full-backs to be unbelievably brave.

On Leicester's disallowed goal: "I realised during the game it was more or less handball but the speed of the game makes it hard to judge so it is perfect for the VAR. I think it is quite normal it was disallowed.

"A win is always good for the mood and confidence but I am not over the moon today. It was important that we were on top of our game to get some points because we are the underdogs in this league. There are more than 20 points, let us see how far we can go. We will be brave and let's see what the outcome can be."

  4. 'We need to be better'published at 22:24 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers talking to the BBC about Kelechi Iheanacho's disallowed goal: "We think it's very, very harsh, I'm not sure exactly what the ruling is, but obviously it hits their player's arms first. We're bitterly disappointed not to get it, because we were the better team in the game.

"I've watched a lot of games this week in the Champions League and Europa League and they seem to get to the decisions much quicker than they do in the Premier League.

"We need to be better. We haven't scored since the Chelsea game. We've got to find that quality again in the final third. We had 19 attempts on goal but only four on target. We have to look to have that wee bit more when we arrive into the final third.

"We'll get that back, it's just a little period where that's disappointing. We were the bettrer team."

  5. 'A win is good for the mood and good for the table'published at 22:22 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    FT: Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Norwich City

Norwich boss Daniel Farke speaking to Sky Sports: "This [Leicester City] is a top-class side, top-class coach, top-class players. I'm pretty proud today. We want to hold our standards high.

"We spoke about how we need to improve in order to create more chances in the first half. Even before the goal, we had several good chances. In general I was pleased with the whole 90 minutes. There were periods I would prefer to be better in possession, but many compliments to the lads."

On Jamal Lewis' goal: "Well deserved because it was a tough spell for Jamal with a long-term injury. To come into the team and then get his first Premier League goal, it's well deserved. Max [Aarons] was fantastic in the situation with a great assist. Both full-backs were today on a really great level.

"A win is always good for the mood, good for the confidence, good for the table of course. For me it was important to show a reaction after the last game.

"We have to keep going. I am happy and delighted today. When you work with unity, with togetherness, with great fighting spirit, with a good tactical approach... then you have a chance wherever you go. We won today and I think it was deserved."

  6. 'We can't dance around the truth'published at 22:20 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers, speaking to Sky Sports: "Disappointing to lose it. I thought we had done well. I thought we played OK, we had 18 shots on goal but I just felt we lacked the bit of quality in the final third and that is something that has come out of our game in the last few weeks.

"We are disappointed with our goal being ruled out. We felt it was very, very harsh. It was unintentional but it hits their player's arm and drops on to Kelechi's.

"The final quality in the final third was missing. We arrived into the areas well enough but we just didn't quite find our man tonight. If you don't win it is important we don't lose it and we didn't track our runners. It was a fantastic strike but you shouldn't lose a game like that.

"We are still in a great position with 10 games to go but we have to get back to that way we were for large parts of the season.

Missed Jamie Vardy? "We have had Jamie out for a number of games. Of course he is excellent but Kelechi was excellent. He was a threat all night - I just felt we didn't get him that service at times.

"It is disappointing. We have been inconsistent. We can't dance around the truth, we need to be better but that is something I am confident we can do. We need to get that focus back in our game."

  7. 'As soon as I struck it I thought - this is nice'published at 22:16 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    FT: Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Norwich City

More from Jamal Lewis, talking to the BBC: "I'm exhausted! It's great for me, and my family are watching in the stadium as well.

"I saw Max [Aarons] bombing down the line and we always joke around, saying we need to get on the end of each others' crosses to get each others' stats up! As soon as I struck the ball, I thought 'this is nice'. I knew it was a good one.

"We're bottom but we feel like we've put in a lot of great performances in but the results haven't followed. It was so rewarding today."

  8. 'Massive for us'published at 22:09 Greenwich Mean Time 28 February 2020

    FT: Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Norwich City

Norwich defender Max Aarons, speaking to Sky Sports: "We were extremely disappointed not to get anything from Wolves. We knew we had to get three points today and show a reaction. The lads are buzzing.

"We were saying earlier this week that neither of us have any goal involvements so for me to get the assist and Jamal to get the goal is great.

"We have shown today we can compete with the best. It is massive for us, massive for the confidence."

    FT: Norwich 1-0 Leicester

    Norwich City

Norwich goalscorer Jamal Lewis, speaking to Sky Sports: "It was a great finish. Happy to get my first Premier League goal, it is always a great achievement but I am just happy to get three points.

"It was a great cross by Max. I saw it come over to me, decided to chest it, cut across it and knew I had to hit that spot in the goal.

"When the season started we knew it would be a battle from the beginning but with the squad and togetherness we always thought we could push through and survive in this league."

Norwich did work for it tonight, didn't they? When the goal came, it was a fantastic strike from Jamal Lewis. They've not given up. There's a slight little light at the end of the tunnel, and although it's so distant, it's there and they're going to go for it.
