David Alaba bails Austria out there. A through ball causes all kinds of problems but Alaba just nips in there first and runs the ball to safety.

Austria are on top now. Marko Arnautovic - who has been lively since coming on - picks out Xaver Schlager, whose 20-yard shot is poor and well wide.

David Alaba whips in the corner but Marcel Sabitzer has too much to do with the header and just flicks it over the bar. Actually it should be a corner as it hit a Macedonian defender. Referee says goal-kick though.

There's the threat. They have that little bit of something that Austria are lacking right now. When they do go forward it's few and far between, but they are providing more of a threat when they do.

Now it's Macedonian goalkeeper Stole Dimitrievski who saves his side. Marko Arnautovic floats a ball into the box and Michael Gregoritsch's glancing header looks for all the world a goal - but the keeper throws himself to his left to keep it out.

North Macedonia make a double change.

Egzon Bejtulai and Tihomir Kostadinov replace Aleksandar Trajkovski and Visar Musliu.

Daniel Bachmann saves Austria this time.

Boban Nikolov ghosts in behind the Austrian defence but Bachmann rushes off his line to put him under pressure and save.

Austria bring on Marko Arnautovic and Michael Gregoritsch for Christoph Baumgartner and Sasa Kalajdzic.

Stole Dimitrievski is OK.

Austria are getting some players ready.

Macedonian keeper Stole Dimitrievski goes down and needs treatment. He hurt himself while braving punching that.

Better spell from Austria and they have an attacking throw-in.

Ezgjan Alioski hasn't had the best couple of minutes and slices a clearance which his keeper has to punch away.

It was a poor touch. He lost control of the ball and then he lost control of himself. It's a dangerous tackle and he's pleading his innocence. He's fortunate to get away with a booking. You see both feet off the ground, perhaps the thing that saved him was that his leg wasn't fully straight in the tackle. He's really fortunate it's not a red.

North Macedonia's Ezgjan Alioski gets booked. He is battling with one Austrian player for the ball and slides into the legs of Xaver Schlager. Tough one to call really.

Excellent defending by Austrian sub Philipp Lienhart to stop a Macedonian player bursting into the box.
