Frenkie de Jong is a dream to watch.

He's checking over his shoulder as he runs with the ball, he's threading passes through and everything is coming through him at the moment for the Netherlands.

Just watching that chance for Denzel Dumfries again - it was so easy for him to put that in the net.

    What a move!

Marlos carries it forward for Ukraine. He slips it through to Roman Yaremchuk. He backheels it to Andriy Yarmolenko and he flicks it over the defender before Maarten Stekelenburg comes diving in to make the block.

He wins a goal kick as it comes off Yarmolenko last.

Ukraine are playing the kind of football everyone thought Turkey would play - the real dark horses.

    Netherlands 0-0 Ukraine

I think it shows a strong mentally from Daley Blind to come out and play given that he has had an issue in the past that has led to him playing with a fitted defibrillator.

It just goes to show he has a strong mentality.

  10. What a miss!published at 40 mins

    Noooooooooooo.

Memphis Depay curls it in from the left and Denzel Dumfries is completely unmarked at the back post.

He has all the time in the world but he nods it wide. How has he missed that?!

    What an effort!

Georginio Wijnaldum absolutely thumps it on the volley from just inside the box and the keeper - Georgi Bushchan again - reacts to palm it away!

Georgi Bushchan has impressed in goal for Ukraine to thwart Memphis Depay, Denzel Dumfries and Wout Weghorst.

This is only Bushchan's seventh appearance for the national team. His Ukraine debut was the stuff of nightmares as he conceded SEVEN in a friendly defeat to France in October 2020.

That seems a long time ago as he's frustrating the Oranje in Amsterdam.

Patrick van Aanholt has a go from long range when it comes his way from the corner but he's hit it way over.

Very surprised [that we have not had a goal so far].

Ukraine have taken the sting out of the game, which is doing the Dutch just as big a favour.

Looking at the Dutch midfield, some of the players are looking a little leggy.
