  2. Post update

    Netherlands 1-0 Austria

    Rob Green

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

Cool as you like, great penalty.

    Memphis Depay's penalty
  3. GOAL - Netherlands 1-0 Austria

    Memphis Depay (penalty)

    Cool as you like.

He's made his mark. Memphis Depay slots it to the keeper's right and out of his reach.

The Netherlands are off to a flying start!

    Memphis Depay celebrating
  4. PENALTY - Netherlands

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

    It's a penalty!

    Memphis Depay to take.

  5. VAR check

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

    It's gone to VAR...

  6. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

    Jermaine Jenas

    Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC One

The game has started exactly as hoped really - no signs of either side dropping off. Netherlands will want plenty from that midfield of Georginio Wijnaldum and Frenkie de Jong.

  7. PENALTY APPEAL

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

There's a little penalty shout here...

Stefan de Vrij goes down appealling for one after contact with Martin Hinteregger but there was nothing in it.

Denzel Dumfries follows up and he's caught by David Alaba. Now that's worth a shout!

  8. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

    Rob Green

Former England goalkeeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

This has started how we thought it would. Netherlands are using the whole of the pitch and both teams are pressing, basically saying 'lets go for it'.

  9. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Wout Weghorst looks like he's got tar on his feet! He is far too slow on the ball as Denzel Dumfries makes another nice run to his right.

David Alaba makes a decent tackle on the edge of his box.

  10. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

You'll be shocked to hear it's an open game so far.

  11. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Andreas Ulmer nutmegs Marten de Roon and it comes back to him on the left a few minutes later.

He weaves past one defender but won't beat Denzel Dumfries, who is back carrying out his defensive duties.

Frenkie de Jong then drives through the middle for the Dutch as they counter but nothing comes of it.

  12. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Memphis Depay touches it on to Wout Weghorst and there's room in the middle.

Denzel Dumfries is free on the right but Weghorst doesn't see him! If he had, he'd have been in...

  13. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Marten de Roon is there again to mop up in the middle. He finds Georginio Wijnaldum, who whips it over to Memphis Depay on the left.

He tries to cut inside but he's closed down by the full-back, with David Alaba coming across to cover.

  14. Post update

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Andreas Ulmer chases a ball down on the left but Marten de Roon is hot on his heels to rob it off him.

  15. KICK-OFF

    Netherlands 0-0 Austria

Off we go. Goals in this, definitely.

  16. 'Both teams will be confident'

    Netherlands v Austria (20:00 BST)

    Jermaine Jenas

    Ex-Tottenham midfielder on BBC One

Both teams got off to a very good start and got the opportunity to get themselves to the top of the group and make that last game a bit easier - Group C is looking very tight as it stands. Both teams will be confident going into this game and hopefully they're just going to go at each other.

  18. Post update

    Netherlands v Austria (20:00 BST)

    National anthem time!

  19. 'De Jong makes things happen'

    Netherlands v Austria (20:00 BST)

    Jack Wilshere

Ex-England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

Frenkie de Jong is one of my favourite midfielders to watch. He takes the ball, dribbles through midfield, plays risky passes and makes things happen.

Dutch teams are always good technically and they will be there or thereabouts in the knockout stages.

  20. Can they qualify tonight?

    Netherlands v Austria (20:00 BST)

    Italy

    Belgium

    ...Netherlands/Austria?

A win will see either of these sides through to the knockout stages, joining Italy and Belgium.
