  1. As things stand...

if the game was to remain level, the Czech Republic would top Group D on four points, with England one behind on three points, Croatia on one point in third and Scotland yet to get off the mark. Remember, the big one at Wembley is coming tonight with England and Scotland having only played one game each so far.

Just a reminder, if it finishes all square at Hampden then an England win tonight would take them through. A draw would put them in a strong position, but not clinch progression for Gareth Southgate's side.

For Scotland, a draw at Hampden is pretty much the dream result. Not that I'm holding out for that or anything.

    ...how long to go, ref?

  2. Post update

Let's see this again, shall we?

  3. Post update

    Dominik Livakovic claims a cross

And it's grabbed by Livakovic. As you were.

  4. Post update

    Another Czech corner...

  5. Post update

    Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC One

The Czech Republic are having a go again. There's still lots to play for.

  6. Post update

    Patrik Schick

You know what? Patrik Schick should be doing better there.

A corner is landed on his head eight yards out, but the Bayer Leverkusen man can't keep it down.

  7. Post update

    Oh, hold up.

Corner coming for the Czechs. Their fans seem encouraged...

  8. 'A different team'

    Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

    Chris Sutton

Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

Croatia are a different team in this second half.

Vladimir Coufal has a job on his hands taking care of Ivan Perisic.

They've just gone up a gear or two.

  9. Post update

    Zlatko Dalic (right)

I've just spotted from the heavens at Hampden that Croatia manager Zlatko Dalic is sporting a bright white pair of trainers with his suit at the edge of his technical area.

Not sure if this is to be applauded or not.

  10. Croatia on the charge

    Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

Hello Croatia, nice of you to join us.

The team in black have awoken from their Euro 2020 slumber. They are on the front foot. Their movement is good. Even the sight of Soucek whistling a shot inches wide isn't enough to stop them quickly coming forward again.

Credit to the Czech fans on the far side here, they keep going. Even the annoying bloke with drum hasn't lost his faith, but the game feels different now.

  11. Bosh!

    Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

    Dion Dublin

Former England striker on BBC One

Pace, a bit of energy, composure, quality. He drops his left shoulder and bangs it in the top right corner. That's what I call quality. They've got the quality but they haven't showed it. I'd expect the keeper to do better with it but there's a lot of pace on the ball. He gets his laces through it. Bosh.

  12. 'Wonderful goal'

    Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

    Chris Sutton

Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

    Croatia celebrate

It's all about power and precision. The pace beats the goalkeeper.

It's a wonderful, wonderful finish. You don't save them.

  13. GOAL - Croatia 1-1 Czech Republic

    Ivan Perisic

What a hit. What a start. What a goal!

Whatever the half-time team talk was, it worked. Perisic with an absolute worldy. He rampages down the left, cuts inside, loses his man, and arrows a belting shot high across goal into the far corner.

    Scenes.

    Croatia goal
  14. And off we go again

    Croatia 0-1 Czech Republic

And we are now back under way at Hampden.

Two changes for the Croatians. Bruno Petkovic on for Ante Rebic, and Luka Ivanusec on for Josip Brerkalo. The World Cup finalists rolling the die here.

  15. Post update

DJ now playing to the crowd with a bit of Yes sir.. I can boogie. What a time to be alive.

  16. What do you think?

    Referee watches VSR monitor

So, do you think it was a penalty? The wonderful BBC audience, you're our VAR ref, here.

Thumbs up for yes, thumbs down for not a chance.

  17. Post update

  18. 'Croatia are effectively out'

    HT: Croatia 0-1 Czech Republic

    Chris Sutton

Former Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

I think Croatia are effectively out - they're not the team they once were I think that's obvious. They've got no Mario Mandzukic, haven't scored enough goals but they still have enough good players in this team to do more than they are actually doing and to pose more of a threat.

  19. Post update

    HT: Croatia 0-1 Czech Republic

    Petr Cech

Former Czech Republic goalkeeper on BBC One

It’s a great start. I have to say the way they started the game, they were a team who pressed high and tried to force Croatia into defending and mistakes. I was impressed by the Czech start. I thought they might take it easy because they have three points in the bag but they took the initiative.

  20. Post update

    HT: Croatia 0-1 Czech Republic

    Rio Ferdinand

Former England defender on BBC One

Without VAR it’s definitely not a penalty. It doesn’t get talked about. VAR changes it. I don’t think it should have been a penalty. Their arms are both in the air. There’s no intent from Lovren to hurt his opponent. He wins the ball too. The striker is on his blindside so he doesn’t see him until the last moment. The referee needs a bit of help from someone to talk it through a bit more.
