    Quote Message

We just need to get into more crossing positions. Fraser in behind the strikers will probably make Kovacic drop, which should free up our wing-backs. That's what we want, get it in those wide areas to give our two strikers some ammunition.

    Willie Miller
Former Scotland defender on BBC Sportsound

    Quote Message

It's just top quality. He's been brilliant tonight - he's been all over the pitch. That tops it off. There's nothing you can do about that, it's difficult to even get close to him as a defender.

  12. goal

GOAL Croatia 2-1 Scotlandpublished at 62 mins

    Luka Modric

    A stunner!

Not for the first time, Croatia come charging down the left and the ball is worked to Luka Modric in a central position 20 yards out.

He meets it first time with the outside of his boot and curls the ball beyond the grasping reach of David Marshall.

    Really impressive execution.

John McGinn comes steaming at the back post in to meet a long, looping cross. He gets on the blind side of the defender and gets a touch from just a couple of yards out but can only steer the ball wide.

    Croatia 1-1 Scotland

    Willie Miller

    Quote Message

Again, the slick passing from Croatia is really difficult to engage with.Scotland are struggling with that. I think McTominay's challenge was an excellent one but he had to make it. If he had missed that they would be right through the middle of defence again.

Croatia are starting to dictate the tempo again as David Marshall makes a good blocking save from Ivan Perisic, who was then flagged offside.

What a good save that is. He takes a lot of the man but it's his big left-hand of Marshall. Gvardiol has just run off Stuart Armstrong.

    A big let-off for Scotland.
