If Sweden v Poland ends 1-1 and Spain beat Slovakia 1-0 (or 2-2 and 2-0, etc) they go level on points, goal difference, goals scored and head-to-head.

It then comes down to disciplinary points, which are currently equal.

Spain would then top the group based on their European Qualifiers ranking.

  4. Who could they play next?published at 16:06 British Summer Time 23 June 2021

    Sweden v Poland (17:00 BST)

Sweden are through. If they win tonight and finish top, they will set up a last-16 tie with either Switzerland, Finland, Ukraine or the Czech Republic in Glasgow on Tuesday.

Poland need to win to go through but they can still finish top too. It could come down to a three-way tie for the top spot on points and therefore goal difference between the teams come into play. Fun!

The runners-up of the group play Croatia in Copenhagen on Monday.

Third place will face either the Netherlands in Budapest on Sunday or Belgium in Seville.

    Table

So what do the teams in Group E need today?

Sweden have already qualified for the last 16. If they do lose to Poland and the other game is a draw, then Sweden, Slovakia and Poland will be split for first to third place on results between the three teams. If Sweden lose they finish third.

Slovakia will qualify if they beat Spain, or if they draw and Sweden avoid defeat.

Spain will go through if they beat Slovakia. If they draw they will finish third unless Poland win.

Poland will go through in second place if they win and the other game is not drawn.
