The difference tonight has been the Italy's substitutions, the Italian strength in depth.

Italy are an extremely versatile team and you look through their team and there are so many players that can play different positions.

This second half of extra-time for Italy is just about seeing it through. Austria have been absolutely brilliant and I feel for them. They've put so much into this game, but they just don't have the firepower

Andrea Belotti is in behind as Italy break now but he completely scuffs the shot.

Gianluigi Donnarumma has to get down sharply to his left as it's whipped at him with some pace from the edge of the box by Austrian substitute Louis Schaub!

Simo: Probably good for the competition, but have to feel for Austria.

It's exactly what they have been missing a bit of quality in the final third. Mancini has put his two subs on and they've worked perfectly for them. Two bits of quality, two very good goals.

It's a story for Italy of super subs. Austria have given this absolutely everything, but Italy's quality has been the difference in this game. In extra-time Italy have been by far the better team.

Looks like it's over for Austria.

It's good play from Insigne and when it falls to Pessina he was nice and calm. Took it onto his left foot and was really accomplished. That really is Everest for Austria.

It could have been game over there. The problem is when it's far out it gives the keeper chance to get over. He moves his feet well and it's a good save from Bachmann.

What a strike!

Italy create a wall of their own in front of the Austria wall to block the view of keeper Daniel Bachmann and it almost works.

Lorenzo Insigne curls it beautifully over the top and it's heading into the top corner before Bachmann pulls off the save!

Italy break. It's two-on-one and Lorenzo Insigne is coming up on the left-hand side.

Andrea Belotti tries to cut inside instead and he's brought down by Martin Hinteregger. Yellow card. Took one for the team.

It's Austria who have the ball. Italy are back in numbers to defend. David Alaba plays it out wide but Florian Grillitsch's cross won't cause any problems.
