It was enjoyable to see we are growing into the tournament and that football is giving something to Unai Simon, something that he didn't expect after Croatia.

Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 LiveThe amount of quality in those penalties was really clear to see that there was so many nerves. The penalties weren't great but the last penalty was really convincing.
The Swiss did well, you can only defend for so long. The Spanish have made it very difficult for themselves tonight, but they have made it through to the next round which is where they wanted to be. If they want to go any further they will need to be better.

They will face either Belgium or Italy at Wembley on Tuesday for a place in the final.
