  1. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 119 mins

    Switzerland 1-1 Spain

Another change for Spain as Rodri comes on for Pedri.

Eighteen of Spain's 27 shots have come from substitutes, will there be time for Rodri to add to that count?

  2. Postpublished at 117 mins

    Switzerland 1-1 Spain

Another save by Yann Sommer although this is bread and butter for him as Gerard Moreno doesn't quite connect well with his shot, scuffing a low effort that Sommer gets down to hold.

Just a couple of minutes for Switzerland to hold on...

  3. Postpublished at 115 mins

    Switzerland 1-1 Spain

Yann Sommer is there again as he pounces on a Sergio Busquets header from a corner.

Switzerland fans have their heads in their hands. Their nerves are shredded but what a display by the 10-man Swiss.

CM: Block of the tournament Rodriguez LOVE to see that

Josh Hammond: As a neutral I hope this goes to penalties. They're a whole different thing to watch when it's not England in the shoot out.

S.W.J: Anyone else think this might end up going to Switzerland on pens?

That was definitely going towards goal. Really good work by the Spanish down the left hand side. They pull in a very good cross and that may have been finding it's way into the bottom corner but wow what a block by Rodriguez.

    Switzerland 1-1 Spain

Superb block by Ricardo Rodríguez as he slides in front of Marcos Llorente's shot to deny what would have been a certain goal.

Spain keep up the pressure as Dani Olmo drives a low effort at goal from distance but Yann Sommer is behind it all the way.

Spain had 11 shots in the first half of extra-time, one more than they had in the initial 90 minutes.

They do very well the Swiss, they are in a 4-4-1, they haven't dropped back into a five. The one up top all on his own is trying to make sure that the defence has some kind of pressure on them.

But it is difficult, because if you get stretched then Spain will pick you off.

Given the stunning saves Yann Sommer has pulled off at this tournament it doesn't surprise me that he is good at pretty much anything he puts his hand to.

As well as keeping goal for his country he is also an accomplished chef, photographer and writes and plays his own music.

A man of many talents. Will he be Switzerland's hero again?

  13. KICK-OFFpublished at 106 mins

    Switzerland 1-1 Spain

Switzerland may be missing Granit Xhaka's voice on the pitch but he is very much playing a part in this game as he gets involved in the half time team talk.

Got to admire Switzerland's spirit. They've got 15 more minutes to hold out and take this game to penalties.
