Belgium are happy to defend deep. They're saying "we're happy to counter".

The problem Italy have is that Belgium have so many players that can produce a moment of quality.

Belgium's first little dart forward but Romelu Lukaku's heavy touch is compounded by a shove from Kevin de Bruyne to concede a free-kick.

Roberto Martinez is screaming at his team to get out. They've been pinned back a bit in the opening stages of this second half.

Two Italy corners follow in quick succession, but they are not able to make much of either. Wasteful.

Shorty of scoring again, Italy's focus will be on keeping their discipline and solidity early in this half. Longer it goes on the more Belgium have to open up.

The Italians are on the front foot early on, though. They win a corner.

Lorenzo Insigne sends a pass behind a team-mate to end a promising Italy attack. They were out of the blocks in a flash.

It's great play from Doku, but as a defender I believe that is soft. He does touch him but is it enough for a penalty? He catches him very minimally there.

I played against him [Lorenzo Insigne] and he was so difficult to mark because he gets into those positions. Defenders should come out but it is an excellent finish. He beats Tielemans too easily but one of the defenders has to come out.

But look at that for a sumptuous finish.

Ten goals is the most Italy have ever scored at a single Euros.

They really have been a joy to watch.

You're thinking at 2-0 Belgium would have to go gung ho and that would suit Italy.

But with that one goal, it's so finely poised.

Charlie: The referee has well and truly bailed Belgium out there. They were dead and buried. That was as soft a penalty as they come.

saidmadrid: Excellent Italia so far making their moneys worth. Belgium reduced the deficit but they need to up their game to overcome Italy.

On a technical level and a tactical level this game has been top. Individual pieces like the goal from Barella and Insigne's goal. You cannot ask for more.
