He had more time to get closer to the goal. Damsgaard, with his quality, I expected more from him in that position.

But again, so, so sloppy from the Czech Republic in possession and they're leaving themselves so exposed at the back.

Jens Stryger Larsen and Jan Boril need treatment. They go up for a header and Larsen falls awkardly, falling onto the back of Boril's leg as he lands.

Czech left-back Jan Boril has gone upfield and left 60 yards of space behind him. Denmark almost take advantage with Mikkel Damsgaard getting the ball and charging in one-on-one. His shot is saved.

Denmark were the better team in the opening stages but I'd say the Czechs are edging play now. More shots and more possession (slightly).

Vladimir Coufal crosses and Tomas Soucek misses his bicycle kick entirely. The ball lands to Tomas Holes but his volley is straight at Kasper Schmeichel.

Almost a perfect Denmark counter-attack. Martin Braithwaite carries the ball 40 yards up the pitch and finds Kasper Dolberg.

He tries to play a ball through the eye of a needle to Jens Stryger Larsen. Tomas Vaclik *just* gets there before the Dane.

The Czechs are pinging so many free-kicks and crosses into the box. Denmark defending well at the moment.

Denmark's front three are working so hard off the ball. They're one solid unit.

We were talking off air about Denmark's counter-press when they lose the ball. The front three are working their socks off.

Denmark boss Kasper Hjulmand was not in charge during qualifying after only being appointed last July. Despite struggling to follow in the footsteps of Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel at Mainz in Germany, he is highly regarded in Denmark after winning the title with Nordsjaelland in 2012.

He is 60 minutes away from steering the Danes into the semi-finals of Euro 2020.

Petr Sevcik whips in a lovely free-kick for the Czechs which is inches in front of Ondrej Celustka's head. That was a goal if Celustka could have reached it.

Good defending by Vladimir Coufal to stop a Martin Braithwaite pass and then deny the Barcelona man the chance to get the loose ball.

Martin Braithwaite barges into the box but then snatches at his shot and spoons it well wide. It was a tight angle anyway.
