Mates again.

Jordan Henderson is sent spinning to the turf by an Emerson shoulder bump. Knew what he was doing there, trying to free space for a team-mate to drive.

I am quite surprised Southgate hasn't brought anyone off the bench, it felt like the right time. But he has got everything right at the tournament so far, so maybe he just trusting in his team to get the job done.

That Luke Shaw goal feels a few lifetimes ago.

Wembley musters another roar. We go again.
Italy have made a change. Andrea Belotti is on for Lorenzo Insigne. Some muscle up top.

Rio Ferdinand
Former England defender on BBC One
We went from playing a three at the back to being pushed into a five at the back. These guys have got resilience, they have been there before in the last game.
Gareth Southgate has come up with the trump cards in the difficult moments and England have an abundance of talent on the bench.

Tactical changes, Mancini got it spot on. Gareth Southgate has been proactive previously he's got to be proactive again because we're tired.

Micah Richards
Former England defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
I was worried that England were going to drop off after the goal and that's exactly what they did. Mancini's subs have made the difference and it's time for Gareth now to trust some of his players off the bench. Kane was sensational in that first half, but now he just looks tired.
"Oh sorry mate, let me help you up."

Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC One
That was a really tough second half for England. Well done to Mancini for switching it around and giving Chiesa and Insigne a little bit more freedom to stretch out back four. They found the pockets they couldn't find in the first half and caused us all sorts of problems.
I would definitely give Grealish time to come on now and get into this game just to give us someone who can carry that ball forward and buy a foul.

Kane is so deep, England are so deep and you would think that maybe Gareth missed the trick for not making another change for someone who can hold on to the ball.
Agony. Torture. Nails gone.
FT: Italy 1-1 England
Both teams are in huddles, regrouping. This is as quiet as Wembley has been all night.

England are on the ropes. It has been one sided this second half and Italy deserved the goal and to get back into the game.
I got to say, I'm worried for England.

Right now Italy's extra 24 hours recovery time from their semi final looks key.

I feel about 70. That was one long, old, brutal half of football. And there's anther 30 minutes more now. Yay.
Italy 1-1 England
This is as deserved a booking as you will ever see. Giorgio Chiellini nearly rips Saka's head off pulling him back as the winger got away from him on the byline. Utter cynicism.

I will do anything to help England win - I've even bet on Italy (rest assured I've never won a bet I've put money on).

Italy are starting to run out of steam. If England are to score, it needs to be now.

There will be a reset and a couple of changes. There is doubt Jack Grealish will come onto the pitch at some point. They need someone who can carry the ball.
