    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Demarai Gray tries to slip one through to James Justin, who has made a nice overlapping run into the right side of the box.

He puts way too much pace on the pass though, and the chance goes begging.

  2. 'Welcome...to your own home'published at 13:27 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

Coventry City v Birmingham (15:00 GMT)

    Neil Johnston
    BBC Sport at St Andrew's

Coventry boss Mark Robins kicks-off his programme notes by welcoming Birmingham boss Pep Clotet and his players to St Andrew's. Nothing odd about that except that this is Birmingham's home ground but - for one day only - they are the away team in this tenants v landlord FA Cup tie.

Robins goes on to say: "While Birmingham are the away team, this is obviously their home stadium, as it has been our home during this season.

"In difficult circumstances, the welcome our football club and supporters have received from Birmingham City and their community has been superb. We are extremely grateful for that and would like to thank Birmingham, their staff and their fans for their help to us in our time of need."

Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho: "Southampton are strong and apart from the game they lost against Wolves they win, win, win, win.

"They are a team with big self-esteem and confidence. They found a pattern of play, they play with two strikers and they have four or five.

"I expect a team that is 24 hours fresher than another because they have 24 hours advantage in relation to that.

"They are a very difficult team to play against, we learned there that it is hard and it is going to be hard."

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

Brentford are getting into spaces about 20 yards out, and Wes Morgan and Caglar Soyuncu are backing off to about 18 yards and letting them get shots off around the D area. That's a dangerous game to play against any team.

  5. Postpublished at 13:25 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Joel Valencia is offside as Brentford move the ball well in the corner and create a good opening for a cross.

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Match of the Day Live

Brentford have had a good 10 to 15-minute spell in this first half where they have shown they can break through. Ward just gets a finger-tip to that shot.

  10. 'Everybody loves a cup run'published at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Reading v Cardiff (15:00 GMT)

Reading manager Mark Bowen: "Any game we play we always want to win it, so I'll be picking the team accordingly.

"Perhaps it might not be as many changes as before but I'll pick the side that I believe can go and win the game against Cardiff because, like our supporters, everybody loves a cup run and I'm no different.

"The fans want to see the team win first and foremost. The longer we stay in there [FA Cup] it gives everybody a lift and everyone has got one eye on the next round of the cup as the season goes on.

"The cups a good thing but whether it's Cardiff, whether it's us or a lower league team like when we played Blackpool, they didn't want a replay against us because it impinged on their fight for promotion."

  11. Postpublished at 13:22 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Julian Jeanvier slides in to block the pass from Christian Fuchs through to Kelechi Iheanacho. Leicester retain possession with the throw-in but go all the way back and recycle.

It's eventually curled into Demarai Gray, whose half-volley is blocked. Dennis Praet then hoofs one way over the bar from a tight angle.

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Match of the Day Live

All of these Brentford players are comfortable on the ball. They want to play the right way. But as a Premier League team playing against a team that thinks they can play against you, you will always expect to be presented with an opportunity.

  13. CLOSE!published at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Hamza Choudhury robs the ball off Julian Jeanvier, who is napping at the back for Brentford and Leicester have numbers forward.

It comes to Marc Albrighton on the edge and his low effort skims wide of the left post.

  14. 'I will honour the competition'published at 13:19 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Reading v Cardiff (15:00 GMT)

Cardiff boss Neil Harris told BBC Sport Wales: "We have three games in a week, but we pick teams because we want to win games.

"There is huge desire here to have a cup run. I want to win games of football. It is a wonderful competition for us older folks who have the huge memories of past days in the FA Cup.

"It is still one of the main competitions in world football, a wonderful competition.

"I will pick a team accordingly to honour the competition. We want to be in the next round of the cup."

  15. 'We won't change how we play'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Newcastle v Oxford (15:00 GMT)

Oxford United manager Karl Robinson: "It will be our biggest crowd since the 1980s and whatever the rest of the season has in store for us we have certainly ticked off a lot of boxes already.

"We have made headway in a shorter space of time than I probably expected. I thought it might take a little longer to get to where we are but there is always work to be done.

"It is one of the best grounds in the country and we won't change the way we play. That's not naive or stupid. If you are building a club with a philosophy you have to test it against the best.

"Newcastle will find weaknesses in it, which we can rectify going forward, but if you have a style why change? If you do and you lose heavily then players will question why we have come away from what we believe in."

  16. 'Brentford are absolutely in the game'published at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

    Pat Nevin
Former Chelsea and Scotland winger on BBC Radio 5 Live

You've got to say that Brentford are absolutely in the game now. They don't seem to have that little bit of magic in the final third, but they're confident in midfield and holding the ball much better.

Ten minutes into the game and you felt that it could get ugly but it doesn't feel like that at all now, they're as likely to score as Leicester.

  17. Postpublished at 13:18 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Brentford have really grown into the game.

They have a nice spell of possession just outside the Leicester box but when the move breaks down, Dominic Thompson is there to defend in the right corner.

  18. Postpublished at 13:15 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

Joel Valencia loses the ball for Brentford on the right but immediately tries to win it back off Dennis Praet.

He ends up fouling him but the boss Thomas Frank gives him a clap.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche: "They were certainly very important results and important performances, particularly that one at Manchester United.

"Now we want to take on the cup game as well. It is a nice feeling in the camp when you are winning, it always enhances the confidence, but we have got to be right and deliver another performance."

  20. 'Can't blame Brentford for not playing their front three'published at 13:14 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Brentford 0-1 Leicester

    Jermaine Jenas
Ex-Tottenham and Newcastle midfielder on BBC Match of the Day Live

They are desperate to get into the Premier League. With such a big game against Forest on Tuesday, Brentford have got to preserve and protect what has got them into such a good position in the league. You can't blame them for not playing that front three that's got them so much joy this year.
