  1. CLOSE!published at 16:12 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

An in-swinging cross from Sam Clucas finds James McClean ghosting in just four yards out and it looks like he just has to nod it home, but he fluffs his lines and missed the target.

Best chance of the game goes begging and McClean really should have done better.

And now Stevenage have gone behind against Plymouth Argyle thanks to Byron Moore's left-footed strike!

Now a good few minutes for Graham Westley's side.

Morecambe v CambridgeImage source, Rex Features

A big goal at the bottom of the table right at the start of the half!

Adam Phillips has put Morecambe in front against Cambridge United and, if things stay as they are, the Shrimps could be leapfrogging Stevenage into 23rd.

At the other end, third-placed Crewe Alexandra have equalised at Scunthorpe United through Daniel Powell.

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

Stoke are missing their match winner of Monday evening Tyrese Campbell, who went off with a hamstring injury after grabbing the winner against West Brom.

How they could do with him at present as they try to find a way to penetrate an in-form Swans rearguard.

Swansea have kept a clean sheet in four of their last six Championship matches - as many as they had in their previous 20.

  5. KICK-OFFpublished at 16:04 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

    James McCleanImage source, Rex Features

We're under way in the second period after an intermittently interesting first 45.

Stoke's Joe Allen and Nick Powell have been trying to get things moving for the hosts, with Conor Gallagher doing the same in the Swans engine room.

But both defences have been relatively untroubled.

Swansea's leading marksman Andre Ayew has been a passenger and the visitors need their 12-goal man and his partner Rhian Brewster to show more in the second-half if they are going to move into the play-off places.

  6. League Two half-time headlinespublished at 15:58 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    • League Two leaders Swindon Town are set to go eight points clear of third place at the top of the table, after two goals late in the first-half have put them in control against Port Vale.
    • Crewe Alexandra and Bradford City, who started the day third and fifth, are both behind, while Exeter City's game against Colchester United is goalless.
    • At the other end of the table, Morecambe and Stevenage are both drawing, while Macclesfield Town trail at home to Forest Green Rovers.

    • Ivan Toney, subject of transfer speculation, netted his 20th goal of the season for Posh

  8. HALF-TIMEpublished at 15:49 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

One added minute produces nothing of note and the teams head into the changing rooms all-square.

Swansea were certainly the brighter early on but Stoke grew into the game as the half progressed.

Not exactly thrill-a-minute fare on offer at the Bet365 Stadium but both teams have tested their opposition goalkeeper, albeit mainly from distance.

Second-half goalfest incoming? Come on, let's be optimistic!

  9. goal

GOAL: Swindon 2-0 Port Valepublished at 15:48 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Hallam Hope (45 mins)

In the space of four minutes at the end of this first half, Swindon Town have taken complete control.

It's a debut goal for Hallam Hope, who only joined from Carlisle United three days ago, that's put the Robins 2-0 up.

    Nick PowellImage source, Rex Features

Under a minute to go before the break and both sides are still searching for the opener.

Potters midfielder Nick Powell appears to cop an arm in the face and goes down to the turf in pain but the referee isn't taking any action.

No VAR here so that'll be the end of that - from a disciplinary point of view at least.

Powell may have more to say about it...

  12. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 1-0 Lincolnpublished at 15:45 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Luke Woolfenden (44 mins)

Ipswich hit the front just before the break.

The Tractor Boys have dominated possession but failed to create decent chances so far.

Then Luke Woolfenden gets on the end of Luke Garbutt's free-kick from the right flank at the back post and nods down and into the net.

That'll move Ipswich to the top of the table as things stand.

  13. goal

    Leon Legge OG (41 mins)

The League Two leaders are in front!

Diallang Jaiyesimi is claiming the goal, but it looks like this is going to go down as a Leon Legge own goal.

As it stands, the Robins would be going a whopping eight points clear of third place.

Down in West Sussex, Grimsby Town have turned their game with Crawley Town on its head.

Having trailed 1-0 to Ollie Palmer's goal, big forward James Hanson has just put Ian Holloway's side 2-1 up.

Meanwhile, Carlisle United have gone in front against Walsall.

  15. Postpublished at 15:38 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

The chances are falling Stoke's way now and this time it's the Potters' joint-top scorer Sam Clucas whose effort from inside the box is saved by the legs of Woodman.

Sams Clucas and Vokes are the top marksmen for Stoke in the league this year, with six goals each.

  16. goal

GOAL: Peterborough 2-1 Rotherhampublished at 15:37 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Michael Ihiekwe (35 mins)

    Goals galore in this one.

Rotherhm pull one back as Daniel Barlaser's corner goes all the way through to Michael Ihiekwe, and the centre-back fires home from close range.

These two clubs have now scored 99 goals between them in League One this season. This surely won't be the end of the scoring...

Elsewhere, Jordan Roberts has equalised for Gillingham at Rochdale.

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

Stoke v SwanseaImage source, Rex Features

Tom Ince tries his luck from distance after receiving the ball from Sam Clucas, but his shot drifts harmlessly over the bar.

Swansea are enjoying the lion's share of possession and are knocking it around nicely, but Stoke are offering a threat when they come forward.

It's looking fairly even, will we see a goal before half-time?

    League One update

Rochdale have taken the lead at home against Gillingham through Ian Henderson's penalty.

The spot-kick came after Rhys Norrington-Davies was brought down by Gills keeper Jack Bonham.

Elsewhere, John Brayford has brought Burton level against Accrington on the half-hour mark, nodding in unmarked from a corner.

Ipswich have been dominant at home against Lincoln, and Will Keane has just shot narrowly wide after getting past the Imps defence.

  19. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15:28 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Stoke 0-0 Swansea

Two men who have been pulling their strings for their respective teams this afternoon, Conor Gallagher and Joe Allen, clash in midfield and it's the Swans man who picks up the first booking of the day for his challenge.

It's certainly more of an even contest now as Stoke have responded well after a slow start.

We still await the opener though with almost half an hour gone.

  20. goal

GOAL: Peterborough 2-0 Rotherhampublished at 15:23 Greenwich Mean Time 25 January 2020

    Sammie Szmodics (22 mins)

Posh take control at London Road.

One through ball from Daniel Butler splits the Rotherham defence, playing Sammie Szmodics in on goal.

The forward is on the left of the box but opens up his body and sends a right-footed finish past Millers keeper Daniel Iversen.

That is Szmodics' first goal since joining Peterborough on loan from Bristol City - and his first of the season to boot.
