  2. Hibs wait for news on Naismith & Porteouspublished at 17:36 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2020

    FT: Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

Hibs manager Jack Ross tells BBC Scotland: "We created a lot of chances away from home and we're confident we can do that again at home. We're frustrated not to win but there were more positives than negatives to take from that performance.

"The injuries (to Jason Naismith and Ryan Porteous) will need to be assessed but it's not looking too positive."

  3. Neilson relishing 'another battle'published at 17:33 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2020

    FT: Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

"We're not used to playing at that level of intensity every week, but I'm very pleased with the players' efforts and we look forward to another battle at Easter Road," says Dundee United boss Robbie Neilson, who is not having any suggestion that Hibs were the dominant team at Tannadice.

We don't have long to wait for our next helping of live football, with a full Premiership card to come on Wednesday.

Here's what we have to look forward to as the top flight resumes after a winter break.

    • Rangers v St Mirren
    • Ross County v Heart of Midlothian
  5. BSC Glasgow in with the big gunspublished at 17:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2020

Ross County are the only top flight missing for the next round, so it's a strong draw for the last 16.

Lowland League side BSC Glasgow, who beat East Kilbride yesterday, will be hoping for a glamour tie and a big pay day.

Hibs v Dundee United & Falkirk v Arbroath are the replays to come from round four.

  6. 'Busy schedule' for disappointed Hibspublished at 17:11 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2020

    FT: Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

Hibs striker Christian Doidge tells BBC One Scotland: "We're really disappointed to draw. We're going to have a very busy schedule now. We fancy ourselves against anyone at Easter Road, so I'm looking forward to it (the replay)."

    Richard Winton

Breathless stuff at the end, with Hibs perhaps unfortunate not to have ended the tie at the first attempt. Instead, they go again a week on Tuesday and United's unbeaten run extends to 13 matches.

  10. FULL-TIME Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernianpublished at 90+4 mins

These two will meet again at Easter Road on Tuesday, 28 January.

Let's hope it's as entertaining as this one. Hibs will feel they did enough to win, creating more meaningful chances, but United showed admirable pluck to hang in and Louis Appere conjured up a pretty special second goal for the hosts.

    Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

Lovely control with the chest and Christian Doidge is through, but he can't lift his shot over the rapidly advancing Benjamin Siegrist. A big, big chance to win it right at the death.

    Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

An almighty scramble inside the United penalty area, with Hibs skipper David Gray inches away from connecting with a diving header. Suddenly, a counter-attack is on the cards, but play is brought to a halt after a head knock for Mark Connolly, who has been in the wars of late.

  15. Postpublished at 87 mins

    Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

Martin Boyle pops up on the left and cuts inside to have a blast. Mark Connolly takes one for the team, getting his head in the way and is knocked onto his backside. He gets a few pats on the back for that act of bravery as he gets back to his feet.

  16. Postpublished at 83 mins

    Dundee Utd 2-2 Hibernian

More fancy footwork from Louis Appere as he steals the ball from Martin Boyle and races up the park to have another shot. He goes for the same corner of the goal but this time it bends a foot or two wide.

It's like a bowling ball, it rolls into the corner. What a goal, son. You wouldn't put it past United stealing this now.
