That will just about do it for today.

St Mirren and Aberdeen fought out a goalless draw in a largely soporific encounter in Paisley before a pulsating game at Tynecastle.

Hearts came from behind to beat Rangers with goals from debutant Liam Boyce and Steven Naismith against his former club.

Sportscene is on the BBC Scotland channel at 19:15 tonight with highlights of all the weekend's Premiership action.

    FT: Hearts 2-1 Rangers

Today's loss was Rangers first league defeat away from home this season, and it's fair to say that manager Steven Gerrard is not pleased.

Speaking to Sky Sports post-match, Gerrard said today's performance is difficult to sum-up: "It was certainly a poor performance. I didn’t recognise us from the start of the game to the finish. Hearts deserved the win, they’ve rushed us off the pitch, they’ve rattled us. They’ve dominated us in the ugly side of the game.

"You can lose a football match but when you don’t recognise your players it’s a bit of a shock."

"The 10 or 15 minutes after half-time, we dropped back too much and you can see the pace and power from Rangers.

Liam Boyce puts himself about, he's got great game intelligence. He wasn't at his best today, he will only get better. He believes he should be at a club like Hearts. He's got a goal and assist and there's more to come

Rangers weren't at their best but that was down to Hearts. If Daniel Stendel can get his team performing like that from now until the end of season they will easily be safe. To battle back from 1-0 down, the heads could've went down. Their mentality was great
