  1. 'Doidge doing the business for Hibs'

    Hibernian 3-2 Dundee United

    Michael Stewart

Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Credit to Christian Doidge as that was a great leap and a great, powerful header. Parts of his game need to improve but if he continues to put the ball in the back of the net, like the two he has got tonight, he's got a future at Hibs there's no question of that.
Christian Doidge is now on 13 goals for the season

  2. GOAL Hibernian 3-2 Dundee United

    Christian Doidge

A great leap from the big striker and Christian Doidge has his second goal of the evening.

Joe Newell the provider again, with a good cross.

    GOAL

  4. 'More of this, please'

    Hibernian 2-2 Dundee United

    Neil McCann

Former Hearts & Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: I'm loving this game, I wouldn't mind if it went into extra time. And it is cold by the way, so it must be good.
  5. GOAL Hibernian 2-2 Dundee United

    Adrian Sporle

Argentine midfielder Adrian Sporle, just on the park for Ian Harkes, makes an immediate impression as his shot takes a big deflection off Lewis Stevenson and whizzes into the net.

    GOAL
  6. 'Poor defending from visitors'

    Hibernian 2-1 Dundee United

    Michael Stewart

Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Really poor defending from Dundee United. When Newell picks up the ball nobody goes anywhere near him. Credit to him, he lifts his head and picks out his pass. Doidge makes no mistake, the ball is bouncing up and he confidently strikes itinto the back of the net. That's what you're paid to do as a number nine.

  7. GOAL Falkirk 2-0 Arbroath

    Conor Sammon

Another Falkirk goal, another close range finish. This time from big Conor Sammon.

    GOAL

Joe Newell drives into the United penalty box and his pull-back allows Christian Doidge to prod Hibs in front.

    It's been coming...

  10. Post update

    Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

The home fans are not happy as two close calls go against them, with Darly Horgan and Martin Boyle given offside in very dangerous positions.

The BBC pundits are not convinced by either call from the linesman.

Benjamin Siegrist made good stops from both attacks, it should be added...

  11. Post update

    Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

United are under the cosh just now, with Hibs pinning the visitors back.

  12. KICK-OFF

    GOAL
  14. Hibs searching for a new striker?

    HT: Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

Hibs need to get their shooting boots on for the second half. The home side have had some very good openings but only have the one goal to show for their efforts.

It was a similar story at Tannadice, when they passed up several chances to add to the two goals they scored.

Florian Kamberi is on the bench but the striker has gone five games without a goal. Beyond that, it's youngsters Fraser Murray and Jamie Gullan.

Surely manager Jack Ross will hope to end this week with a new forward in his squad.

  15. United will be 'a joy to have back' in Premiership

    HT: Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

    Michael Stewart

Former Scotland midfielder on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: The first game was really entertaining as well and just goes to show this Dundee United is going to have a good season next year and be a joy to have back in the top flight. Because games like this, that's what you want to see.

  16. 'No fuss over the shush'

    Hibernian 0-1 Dundee United

    Neil McCann

Former Hearts & Rangers winger on BBC Sportsound

Quote Message: Scott Allan has been taking a lot of stick from Dundee United fans. So much has been made of people celebrating, getting yellow cards, and he's left the field of play (after scoring). He's shushing the United fans and I haven't seen too much bother back. So respect to them for not getting too uppity, for giving it out and being able to take it and for Kevin Clancy for not booking him.

  17. HALF-TIME Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

It's been a humdinger of a tie, end-to-end stuff, with an absolute belter of an opening goal from Lawrence Shankland.

Hibs have squandered a few good chances but drew level from Scott Allan's spot-kick after a foul on Martin Boyle.

  18. HALF-TIME Falkirk 0-0 Arbroath

Not much of a game in the heavy rain.

"Probably the worst game I've seen this season," says BBC Scotland pundit Allan Preston

  19. Post update

    Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

Hibs skipper Paul Hanlon gets his head to Joe Newell's corner and United keeper Benjamin Siegrist needs to tip it over.

  20. Post update

    Hibernian 1-1 Dundee United

Lewis Stevenson whips in a lovely cross from the left and United defender Mark Reynolds does really well to head over his own crossbar under pressure.
