The Lilywhites occupy the final play-off place, but with Bristol City, Blackburn and Cardiff City all snapping at their heels, they know they have to get a result at home to Hull City.

Tom Barkhuizen is the man in form for Preston - the forward has scored four goals in the past five games and Alex Neil's side have not lost a game this season when he has scored.

That record will not sit well with Hull, who have lost six of their past eight games and are coming off the back of a thrilling 4-4 draw at home to Swansea City last Friday.

Having led three times they trailed 4-3 until Tom Eaves' last-minute equaliser - the first time they had scored more than one goal this year.

But Hull's biggest win of the season was again - you've guessed it - Preston. They will hope they can repeat something similar to that 4-0 victory in November at Deepdale this afternoon.

  2. League One's fixturespublished at 14:44 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

Coventry City go for a ninth win in 11 games at Rochdale as the EFL's in-form side targets first place in League One.

Level on points with Rotherham - who travel to Accrington - the top two face each other at St Andrew's in a huge game on Tuesday night.

With Peterborough having the week off, play-off rivals Wycombe, Sunderland, Portsmouth and Ipswich will all hope to capitalise.

    • Accrington v Rotherham
    • Wimbledon v Blackpool
    • Fleetwood v Portsmouth
    • Ipswich v Oxford Utd
    • Lincoln City v Gillingham
    • MK Dons v Bolton
    • Rochdale v Coventry
    • Shrewsbury v Doncaster
    • Southend v Burton
    • Sunderland v Bristol Rovers
    • Wycombe v Tranmere
  3. Terriers in need of three pointspublished at 14:43 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

Swansea City v Huddersfield Town (15:00 GMT)

If you were to look at current form you would say both sides are likely to lose this one!

Both sides have won just twice since the turn of the year, and but for 11th-placed Swansea's superb start to the season you could argue they would be closer to struggling Huddersfield than they currently are.

But if you are a travelling Huddersfield Town fan it seems you've always got something to celebrate - the Terriers have only failed to score in one of their past 17 away league games, a 1-0 loss at Middlesbrough on Boxing Day.

However, their unpredictable form is what must be frustrating their supporters most of all - they have not strung back-to-back wins together in three months and lost 3-0 to Cardiff City when they last faced Welsh opposition 10 days ago.

You have to wonder how Swansea's players will be feeling going into this game - having come back from a goal down three times and then gone on to lead 4-3 at Hull City last week they went on to concede in the final minute - could the scars of those two dropped points still be visible come this afternoon?

  4. Can Tykes reel in Boro?published at 14:42 Greenwich Mean Time 22 February 2020

    Barnsley v Middlesbrough (15:00 GMT)

Between them, bottom-of-the table Barnsley and seventh-bottom Middlesbrough have won one of their last five matches, so on paper this might not seem like a thriller.

But in the context of the relegation fight it could be a massive deal.

A win for the Tykes could see them move to third-from-bottom if Wigan and Luton lose, while a Boro win could see Jonathan Woodgate's got as many as nine points clear of the drop zone.

Ashley Fletcher's goal early in the second half was the difference as Middlesbrough beat Barnsley 1-0 at the Riverside on 27 November, but you have to go back to August 2011 for the last time Boro won a league game at Oakwell.

Barnsley ended a run of six games without a win with a superb 3-0 victory at high-flying Fulham in midweek, but you have to go back to New Year's Day for the last time Middlesbrough won a game.

Championship leaders West Brom have regained their swagger after a seven-match winless run in December and January threatened to derail their automatic promotion campaign.

The Baggies have since gone four unbeaten, winning three of those games, and have a four-point lead over second-placed Leeds and a healthy six-point gap to the play-off places.

Bristol City have promotion ambitions of their own and start the day only outside of the top six on goal difference.

The Robins, who incredibly have not drawn any of their past 16 league games, have lost two of their past three. Lee Johnson's men were beaten 1-0 at Leeds last time out.

    Cheers Phil!

Let's hope our 15:00 GMT kick-offs can follow in the footsteps of that early game! Here's some of the headline team news...

    • West Bromwich Albion make one change for the trip to Bristol City as Ahmed Hegazi replaces Kyle Bartley at centre-half - Lee Johnson changes five of his side as Famara Diedhiou and Filip Benkovic are among those that come in following the loss at Leeds.
    • Talking of Leeds United they are unchanged as they travel to Reading - the Royals' only change sees Pele replace Michael Olise.
    • Sabri Lamouchi makes only one change to his Nottingham Forest as Adama Diakhaby comes in for Samba Sow - opponents QPR name an unchanged side for the third successive match.
    • Preston make four changes from last week as Darnell Fisher returns from injury, while Paul Gallagher, Josh Harrop and Sean Maguire come in to face a Hull City side which also boasts four changes from the side that drew 4-4 with Swansea last week as Tom Eaves starts and Jordy de Wijs, Reece Burke and George Honeyman return.

So it is as you were in terms of the top six places.

Both West Brom and Leeds could not have asked for better results after Fulham's draw with Derby last night and Brentford's single point, as they could put a buffer between themselves and the play-off sides.

Forest could go third if they can beat QPR, while Preston host out-of-form Hull City.

    FT: Brentford 2-2 Blackburn

Brentford's Ollie Watkins tells Sky Sports: "We had chances in the first half and in another day could have been two or three up.

"I'd say that's my best goal of the season. It's just a shame it didn't get us the three points."

Midfielder Christian Norgaard adds: "If you don't win, don't lose. That's what we've done three times in a row. We have to step it up a notch if we want to be yup there by the end of the season."
