    Mainz 0-1 RB Leipzig

Yussuf Poulsen is back out there after plenty of treatment, as Pierre Kunde goes in the book for chopping down RB's Kevin Kampl.

  2. ouch!

Postpublished at 14:51 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-1 RB Leipzig

That looks painful - Yussuf Poulsen wins the ball back in typical high-press style and as the challenge comes in his ankle is trapped underneath a forest of legs.

  3. Postpublished at 14:48 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-1 RB Leipzig

The two coaches are having a bit of an argument, socially distant. Julian Nagelsmann didn't even get out of his seat.

  4. Postpublished at 14:46 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-1 RB Leipzig

Interestingly Timo Werner is actually playing a bit deeper than I thought, he's just off the main striker Poulsen. Hasn't stopped him making an early breakthrough of couse.

  5. goal

GOAL - Mainz 0-1 RB Leipzigpublished at 14:43 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Timo Werner (11 mins)

Pick that one out! There's the opener and it's a 22nd league goal of the season for much-fancied Timo Werner.

All the spade work is done down the right by Konrad Laimer, who skins his man and picks out a fine cutback to the near post. Werner is in space and while he doesn't make the most poweeful of contacts he does enough to send it wide of the keeper and in.

  6. Postpublished at 14:41 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-0 RB Leipzig

Great header across goal by Marcel Halstenberg to pick out captain Yussuf Poulsen in the middle but his shot deflects over the top.

    RB still on top.

  7. Postpublished at 14:38 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-0 RB Leipzig

Strong start from the visitors as you'd expect. Yussuf Poulsen is close to sniffing out a chance from a left-wing cross and Timo Werner nearly plays in a man on the overlap too.

  8. Postpublished at 14:35 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-0 RB Leipzig

Leipzig have actually only lost three games all season - the fewest in the league - but 10 draws have hampered their title bid. A top-four finish is what they're after now.

  9. Postpublished at 14:33 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-0 RB Leipzig

Leipzig whacked Tottenham in the Champions League of course. That was, what, about eight years ago?

  10. KICK-OFFpublished at 14:32 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Mainz 0-0 RB Leipzig

    And we're off!

In their reverse Bundesliga fixture earlier this season, Leipzig defeated Mainz 8-0 at Red Bull Arena. This was RB Leipzig's biggest ever Bundesliga win and Mainz' biggest ever Bundesliga loss.

RB Leipzig make three changes as much-fancied centre-back Dayot Upamecano starts. Rumoured Liverpool target Timo Werner starts up front.

  13. Up nextpublished at 14:23 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

Mainz v RB Leipzig (14:30 BST)

Just a few minutes until the next game - RB Leipzig can go third with a win on the road.

  14. FULL-TIMEpublished at 14:22 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Schalke 0-3 Augsburg

    A thumping win for Augsburg!

    But Schalke were absolutely rubbish.

  15. goal

GOAL - Schalke 0-3 Augsburgpublished at 14:19 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Sergio Cordova (90 mins)

Oh my word. If the second goal was bad, this is absolutely woeful from Schalke. Centre-back Salif Sane plays it to sub Levent Mercan, coming deep to get the ball. His touch is not great though and Sergio Cordova takes it from him, then runs on unopposed, glides around the stranded keeper and slams in.

    Schalke 0-2 Augsburg

    Nope.

  17. Postpublished at 14:17 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Schalke 0-2 Augsburg

Two minutes left and Schalke force a corner. Late hope?

  18. Postpublished at 14:11 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Schalke 0-2 Augsburg

Shot on target for this hapless hosts as sub Benito Raman guides a header down but straight at Andreas Luthe.

Augsburg will climb up to 12th, seven points above the relegation play-off place, with this win as they send on former West Ham defender Reece Oxford.

It's going to be nine games without a win for Schalke.

  20. goal

GOAL - Schalke 0-2 Augsburgpublished at 14:04 British Summer Time 24 May 2020

    Noah Sarenren Bazee (76 mins)

That's how you finish! Shambolic at the back from Schalke as Salif Sane duffs a headed clearace, Jonjoe Kenny slides in to intercept but misses the ball and Augsburg sub Noah Sarenren Bazee takes his time, steps inside the last defender and then blazes into the top corner.

    Belting strike.
