Best striker has to be when it really matters. World cup final. Proper man marking and defenders defending! So del piero , r.v.p. lewandowski and ibrahimovic for me.

Surely Griezmann and Anelka are leagues above the likes of Larsson? Why was he included?!

Griezmann was just very unlucky - someone had to miss out. But Anelka didn't hit the criteria of scoring 20 plus goals in three or more seasons this century.

Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, LA Galaxy, AC Milan...

    Jeez, stay still Zlatan!!

13:59 Map of Europe - pin Messi's birthplace. Please tell me where in Europe was Diego Costa born!

    Anon

Ah, very sharp "anon". Costa was indeed born in Brazil, but we'd argue his 24 caps for Spain qualify him for this competition. Now, If Messi had played for England... he would definitely be in.

Alessandro del Piero is in the form of his life. He's carrying the hopes of a nation on his shoulders in the last eight.

Kylian Mbappe? No problem. Gareth Bale? Pfft, gone. But is David Villa a step too far?

The Spaniard thrashed Romelu Lukaku and Diego Costa in the previous rounds. He's had 83% or more of the votes in his matches so far!

How comes inzaghi was left out? Goal machine in champions league, king of tap-ins, better than benzema.

    Anon

Fair question. He was in the initial short list but didn't meet the criteria of scoring 20 plus goals in three or more seasons.
