With just three points separating second from fifth, Dortmund cannot afford to drop points against a team fighting relegation.

There's still an awful long way to go but they're missing their wonder kid Erling Braut Haaland.

A lovely delivery by Achraf Hakimi finds Julian Brandt unmarked but he fails to hit the target just moments after Emre Can's wild attempt.

It's just not happening at the moment for Dortmund.

Thanks goodness for Thorgan Hazard. The former Chelsea player swings in a corner which presents a chance for Emre Can but he can't hit the target before Hazard works the ball out for Achraf Hakimi whose inviting cross goes to waste.

Loads of time left in this but this has to be one of the worst matches since the Bundesliga resumed.

They might be propping up the league but Paderborn are unbeaten in three games - all of them ending in draws. They're doing a fine job keeping Dortmund at bay.

I'll be honest, this isn't a great watch. That Monchengladbach game already seems an age ago.

Jadon Sancho is involved in a counter attack which ends with Raphael Guerreiro firing just wide of the right post. It came about after Paderborn lost possession deep inside Dortmund's half. Much better by the visitors.

First sight of goal for Dortmund and Thorgan Hazard out-sprints his marker to get away a shot which forces the keeper into a save.

That came about after a clever ball over the top by Lukasz Piszczek.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei certainly does not lack confidence.

The Paderborn forward has another pop at Dortmund's goal but he can't keep it down.

This has been a decent start by the hosts. Dortmund have been slow and sluggish.

Just like at Borussia Monchengladbach earlier, there's fake crowd noise being pumped into the stadium. It's nowhere near as loud as it was in the early match. Dortmund are dominating possession with short, sharp passing and good movement.

As well as Jadon Sancho, Emre Can is also back in Dortmund's starting line-up in place of the injured Mahmoud Dahoud.

Erling Braut Haaland is also missing through injury.

There's no messing around here. Both teams have appeared, the toss has been made and we're ready to go.

No cardboard cut-out fans at Paderborn. This is the smallest stadium in the Bundesliga but this place would be rocking with 15,000 fans in normal circumstances. We're waiting for the teams to appear.

Lucien Favre says he is not about to quit as Borussia Dortmund head coach despite losing to Bayern Munich in midweek, a result that appeared to end their Bundesliga title hopes.

The coach's post-match comments prompted speculation his Dortmund reign could end but he says he was misunderstood.

"I don't think about giving up at all," Favre later said.

"We were all disappointed [on Tuesday], but my words in the interview immediately after the game seem to have been misunderstood in many ways.

"The only thing I wanted to answer to relevant questions was that now is not the time to take stock of the season.

"Why? Already on Sunday, in Paderborn, we have to achieve a top performance again. We have to focus on that, nothing else."
