Hertha work the ball around well down the right and it's whipped into the middle. Vladimir Darida, left in space about 20 yards out, sets himself to shoot but Axel Witsel steps across to make an excellent block.

Krzysztof Piatek replaces Per Skjelbred for Hertha and it looks like there could be some formation changes in midfield.

Dortmund are starting to show their class. A few inch-perfect passes from Axel Witsel and some nice touches from Achraf Hakimi and Jadon Sancho.

Meanwhile, Hertha are going to make some changes.

Dortmund leave themselves a bit too open at the back and Hertha exploit it with a quick break.

Alexander Esswein cuts in from the right and his shot towards the far post only JUST flies wide.

Dedryck Boyata does so well here. He reads the play, intercepts the pass, brings the ball out of his own half and manages to win a throw-in off Axel Witsel with two players around him.

He gets an applause from the boss on the touchline and the "fake crowd" give him one too.

Julian Brandt wins the ball in the middle and wriggles through. It's three-on-two for Dortmund but Brandt opts for Jadon Sancho on his left and it clips the heels of the defender.

Achraf Hakimi, following up, blasts it over the bar.

This would have been brilliant.

Axel Witsel starts the move off, playing a nice one-two with Julian Brandt before teeing up Achraf Hakimi on the right.

Hakimi drills a superb ball across the face of the goal which Thorgan Hazard taps back into the centre for Jadon Sancho to hit from a few yards out.

If it's on target, it's in. But he side-foots it wide!

Dortmund could be 1-0 up! There's so much space on the edge of the box as the move it from one player to another.

Jadon Sancho is positioned right in the centre and completely unmarked but the pass is slipped too far in front of him.

Change at the break for Hertha. 19-year-old Berlin-born Jessic Ngankam replaces Dodi Lukebakio.

Wouldn't mind a six-goal spree from Dortmund in this second half. It needs spicing up a little!

Hertha are defending really well. Solid centre-back pairing and pressing from the front.

And that's that. Not too much to get excited about. It wasn't the level of the first 18 minutes of Dussledorf v Hoffenheim, that's for sure.

Good play from Alexander Esswein down the left for Hertha. Has he kept the ball in play on the backline?

No. Shame. There were teammates waiting in the six-yard box.

Fair play to the BT Sport commentator. He's trying to make the artificial crowd noise more realistic.

Oooh, Jadon Sancho almost creates one! It's fizzed into his feet inside the box and he tries to flick it and turn the centre-back.
