    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

With five subs now being allowed, I thought Jose Mourinho would be the first manager to do all five at once.

On this showing so far, it might actually be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who does that.

Hook off half of that team.

Paul Pogba was going through a stringent warm-up routine at half-time and continues to stride up and down the touchline.

No call up for the Frenchman yet though.

Oof, Harry Maguire needed to get that one right.

He was the last man a couple of yards into his own half and three Tottenham men were bearing down on him.

The England international has to nod the ball away and does so in the direction of Scott McTominay, who completes the clearance.

Some measured and considered opinions there at half time.

    Welcome back football.

Away we go again for the second half.

Luke: Luiz is a one man mistake, United are a 4 man mistake. United's defence is abysmal for the money they have spent, Maguire is not a Man Utd player and certainly very embarrassing for the club being captain. Maguire is worse than Jones, Lindelof and Bailey put together

Roy Keane has had an almighty rant about his old side's performance in that first half.

Said on Sky Sports he wouldn't let some of the players on the bus to Manchester "let them get a taxi back" and has called David de Gea "the most over-rated goalkeeper I have seen in a long time".

  7. Henderson over De Gea?published at 21:17 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

It is going to come to a head. I caught up with Dean Henderson for the BBC earlier this year. He was adamant he would not go back to Manchester United unless he was playing. He is a confident young man and why wouldn't he be? He has been outstanding for Sheffield United.

On current form I would pick him ahead of David de Gea.

  8. 'A typical Mourinho performance'published at 21:15 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

    Jonathan Greening
Former Manchester United midfielder on BBC Radio 5 Live

It was a cagey start from both teams but Jose Mourinho will be very happy. It was a typical Mourinho performance from his players - they were in good shape, disciplined. The United players looked a little rusty.

  9. 'Man Utd have not played badly'published at 21:13 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

I thought before the goal Manchester United looked like the team most likely to score. They were confident and direct. Let's not forget just before Tottenham scored, Daniel James had a great opportunity with a cross but just slightly over hit. Marcus Rashford was in a great position.

It is not by any means Manchester United have played badly but they have dropped off a bit since Tottenham scored.

Drinks breaks mean it's now a game of four quarters, Utd bossed the first and spurs the second. If Pogba really has got a future at Utd then he must come on in the third quarter!

  11. Spurs will be well satisfiedpublished at 21:10 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Spurs have looked in control since they went ahead, looking like a well-drilled Jose Mourinho side.

On a behind closed doors operational note, the complaining about decisions is louder and more often than in the first game I attended after the hiatus between Aston Villa and Sheffield United.

Bruno Fernandes' fleet-footedness almost carves out an equaliser for United.

The Portuguese midfielder sends Harry Winks out of the postcode with a delightful dummy and then lines one up from 25 yards out.

The drive is dipping and swerving but Hugo Lloris gets his body behind the ball to smother low down.

Naveed: Spurs look dangerous on the break.. Levy needs to back Mourinho in the market and they can seriously challenge.

Daniel Miller: Replace Maguire with Van Dijk and there's precisely 0% chance Bergwijn glides past the centre half and scores. Makes £75m seem like a bargain.

Richard Fridl: Why is D.James a starter I'll never understand, but why is De Gea so untouchable no matter how many mistakes that man does is beyond understanding. You don't see a forward playing just because he use to score. Yeah i said it, De Gea used to be good.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 41 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

Manchester United winger Daniel James is the first man into the book for a trip on Eric Dier.

Frustrated after he doesn't get a free-kick from the same player who came charging in from behind to bundle him over.

  19. 'Man Utd more cautious now'published at 20:56 British Summer Time 19 June 2020

    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

    Mark Schwarzer
Former Fulham keeper on BBC Radio 5 Live

The pace of the game has slowed down, Tottenham are finding themselves more in Manchester United's half. Since that goal, Manchester United seem to be a little bit more cautious.

  20. Postpublished at 38 mins

    Tottenham 1-0 Man Utd

Spurs have controlled things quite well since taking the lead, not given United a sniff.

A Jose Mourinho side finally looking well organised and difficult to break down.
