Mason Mount has moved over to the right side of midfield and is causing lots of problems. He's always on the move. Players like that are hard to mark. He's making things happen.

Mason Mount, that is exceptional! Again he's on the right, he cuts inside and beats one man, gets away from aother and then puts it right into the corridor between keeper and defence.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is at the far post, sliding in, but he just can't quite get there.

Chelsea are moving the ball really nicely, at speed. Mason Mount seems to always be free and his cross is again a dangerous one but he was just offside.

Better from Villa again as John McGinn is able to get into the area and head wide. Dean Smith, again watching from on high, applauds.

Oooohhhhhh! Almost a proper howler from Orjan Nyland in the Villa goal! A shot comes in from 20-ish yards from Mateo Kovacic, Nyland very nearly dives past it and fumbles it into his own net but he's able to get back and scoop it off the line.

Villa then attack, Anwar el Ghazi drills in an effort from range and Kepa makes a decent stop away to his right.

Great ball in from Willian! Just needed a touch.

The individuals who play football for some teams are better at football than those who play for other teams Julian.

Doesn't mean they can't be beaten though of course. We are back playing.

Villa can't get the ball. Jack Grealish is doing most of his work defending. And he's out wide - I prefer him in the centre. He's got to do a job for his team. When they get the ball they'll need Jack to do something special.

Aston Villa have lost each of their last nine PL games against sides starting the day in the top four, shipping 31 goals. We like to spin the line that 'anyone can beat anyone' but in reality they rarely do.

That's more like it! Really good hit from Mason Mount, on his left foot, drilled high and hard and Orjan Nyland did enough to get a firm hand to it and push it clear.

It's brilliant to have football back. It's not the same without fans. But with Covid-19, we've got to respect that. It's amazing to watch games on TV and listen on the radio. I've watched too much Netflix.

Villa play a short corner neatly, Jack Grealish picks out Conor Hourihane running in and his shot is well charged down.

Chelsea pick it up and counter, Olivier Giroud amost picking out a team-mate at the far post with a left-footed cross.

I like Giroud a lot but if that was Timo Werner leading that charge he would have streaked in clean on goal.

There's either a really weird buzzing sound through one of the audio channels from Villa Park or I've suddenly got tinnitus. Both seem pretty feasible.

Chelsea pop the ball about nicely again, but Mateo Kovacic wastes the attack by smashing the cross clean out of play.
