Manchester City are moving the ball and trying to tire Chelsea. If they keep doing that for 90 minutes, it's going to be very hard in these conditions tonight.

A drinks break actually makes sense tonight. I'm sweating buckets in this heat.

    Chelsea 0-0 Man City

Great touch from Riyad Mahrez to side-step former Leicester teammate N'Golo Kante. He's caught late so City win a free-kick in the middle but the players will grab some H2O first.

Paul: Last time Liverpool won the league, I lived in South Africa, single, 30 years later I'm married, 2 boys and settled in Switzerland , it's been a long wait but doing it in style, go Reds you beauties!

EineKleineGenius: I was in the first year of senior school when LFC last won the league. I have two children of my own older than that now. It feels amazing to know you’ve won the league since January City are playing to avoid applauding the LFC onto the pitch at the Etihad.

Chicken George: Darcey's Dad (20:02) has given a third reason for me hoping City win tonight. It will give him a chance to keep his promise. Help Utd get a Champions League spot and lastly keep any lingering hope of L'pool not winning the league for a few more days.

  10. CLOSE!published at 18 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Man City

Cesar Azpilicueta is almost done by an Ilkay Gundogan nutmeg but he ends up just barging into him.

Riyad Mahrez takes the free-kick and Fernandinho gets a free header, which he flicks towards goal. Kepa has to tip it over the crossbar!

Manchester City do not have anyone occupying the two Chelsea centre backs. Bernado Silva is just roaming and it's really confusing for Chelsea.

Better spell for Chelsea in the last few minutes. Starting to see the ball more and they have gathered some shape.

Strange one tonight for Liverpool fans. We want the title as soon as possible, but for me I would prefer City to win tonight and we take the trophy home when we play them next week.

I've never been so torn as a Chelsea fan. I wanna win but the thought of handing of Liverpool the title.....

Chelsea break quickly as Olivier Giroud kicks it off with a classy flick to Christian Pulisic.

Willian slots a ball across the six-yard box from the right but it's poked out for a corner.

Mason Mount then skies an effort over the bar from the resulting set-piece.

This is really good stuff from City. It's moved through midfield with ease, touches from several players and constant movement around the pitch.

Benjamin Mendy is having a party down the left too. He's in on another overlap but can't get through Andreas Christensen.

Kevin de Bruyne then plays a lovely ball into the box but Kepa deals with a soft header.

"We have to move on. There is no point spending too much time talking about the negatives."

    FT: Burnley 1-0 Watford

    Burnley

"He is a joy to work with, very unsassuming. That is what e does, he sticks it in and has the ability to find a moment.

"Over seven and a half years we have built a culture and environment that behind it has a strong mentality. We bounced back after the other night

"I am still here. I have had this before, still working with the players. It has been an emotional week. Someone wrote the first time in seven years I had questioned the board, I think that's pretty good."

Benjamin Mendy curls a cross in from the left but he's skewed it. Chelsea will take their time with this goal kick, they just need to keep the ball for a bit.

It's been with City since kick-off!
