    Arsenal

Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah told Sky Sports: "It was a very important three points. We have been unfortunate and we knew we had to roll our sleeves up and fight for the win.

"Southampton came out really strong in the second half and we worked hard in the heat to keep going. We work a lot on our high press and for me personally, I always try to give my all and I could smell the uncertainty from the goalkeeper. I have done it hundreds of times so I'm glad one of them has led to a goal."

Palmer is an England youth international who can play in attack or midfield and has been with City since under-8 level. He has impressed in the U18 Premier League this season, scoring 15 goals and making five assists in 14 appearances. Will he get a chance to shine in the big time tonight?

Stevo: I want a Citeh-Redmen showdown next week but I would've been prepared to celebrate Liverpool winning the league with beer and chips tonight had a well known frozen grocery store not just cancelled my large order of booze and junk food.

Nip the garage now, Stevo. There's still time!

  11. 'The FA Cup becomes important'published at 20:11 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

Chelsea v Man City (20:15 BST)

    Manchester City

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola speaking to BT Sport: "I think all the managers didn't know how the teams would be after these exceptional situations. We got a good result [against Burnley] and that was the important thing.

On team changes & prioritising FA Cup: "I have other options. We have a few players injured. Listen, we cannot win titles. But we cannot deny this tough week. Congratulations to Liverpool, they have won it. Champions League qualification, we are in a good position so FA Cup becomes important. We have three or four academy players on the bench.

"He [Phil Foden] picked up a little injury after Burnley. The day after he could not train. We have Newcastle so we need him and Liverpool too."

  12. 'That's an unusual combination!'published at 20:10 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

Chelsea v Man City (20:15 BST)

    Chelsea

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard speaking to BT Sport: "It's a big game between two big teams. We're focused on what's vital for us and that's points. It's pressure. It's good pressure for us because we want to win it for ourselves.

"You want to deliver against Man City. Tonight won't be pivotal [in run towards a top four spot] but we want a result. We have one of the best teams in the country or the world coming to the Bridge - it's going to be a tough match.

On team changes: "I felt Christian [Pulisic] could have an impact and start this game. I think a couple of players will hopefulyl freshen us up.

On LFC fans cheering Chelsea: "That is an unusual combination! I think Liverpool won the league months ago, but not taking anything away from them if they were to win it tonight. They have been outstanding. They should celebrate for their brilliant performances. That's for them to celebrate whenever and we will just focus on our performance tonight."

  15. What are the chances?published at 20:08 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

Chelsea v Man City (20:15 BST)

Here's a few stats for Liverpool fans to ponder. If they're getting behind Chelsea tonight, history suggests the Blues could do them a favour.

Chelsea were obviously involved in the match which secured the title for Leicester City and they have a good record against the defending champions.

In fact, they are unbeaten in their last 12 home games against the current defending champions - which are of course, Manchester City at the moment.

City have won five of the past seven meetings in all competitions against Chelsea though, drawing one and losing one.

    It'll be an interesting one!

  16. 'He would have enjoyed that'published at 20:06 British Summer Time 25 June 2020

    FT: Southampton 0-2 Arsenal

    Steven Reid

The only disappointing thing for Joe Willock is that the away fans would usually be down that end. He would have been celebrating in front of them.

To be a fan of the club and then to score his first Premier League goal, he will have enjoyed that.

So we all know the score. If Manchester City fail to win, Liverpool are crowned Premier League champions.

    It's a big night!

Chelsea are currently sat two points above Manchester United in fourth so they will want some breathing space.

Manchester City are obviously trying to delay Liverpool's celebrations as long as possible and Pep Guardiola says his team selection tonight is with their FA Cup quarter-final against Newcastle in mind.

If LFC win the title tonight, I will have to break a 25 year old promise, unfortunately! In 1994, my match day Kop buddy was killed in a car smash aged 29. Two weeks later, I stood on the Kop for the penultimate game before it was seated and bawled my eyes out when YNWA was played. I promised Dave then that the day after we next won the title, I'd drive up to his graveside in Cumbria and crack a bottle of beer open on his headstone for us to share. I've been up there often enough. Occasionally joyfully (2001, 2005, 2012, 2019), but mostly sheepishly to tell him I'd arrived without beer. I'd love to go up there tomorrow, but I've got an unmovable job on 200 miles away in the Midlands. I'll make it up to you, Dave, I promise.
