The fixtures are coming thick and fast now La Liga is back underway and Real Madrid are in action after this on Thursday against Valencia.

Earlier today in La Liga, Diego Costa marked his first Atletico Madrid goal of 2020 by paying tribute to Virginia Torrecilla - a midfielder for their women's team - who had surgery for a brain tumour.

Costa celebrated equalising in a 1-1 draw with Athletic Bilbao by holding a shirt with Torrecilla's name and number.

The half ended with Rodrygo almost making it 4-0 but Eibar's keeper just about managed to get down to keep his attempt out.

This has been an excellent response from Real - particularly after Barcelona's four-goal victory in Mallorca.

Three goals up - and almost certainly more to come.

I think Gareth Bale will be having a word with Zinedine Zidane at half-time. He'll be eyeing a goal or two from the bench after what he has seen.

Eibar cannot wait for the half-time whistle. They had a period after the first goal where they appeared to be frustrating Real but not any longer. They're facing a hiding unless they sort themselves out.

Lots of pretty passing from the hosts but not many chances. Eibar have settled into this since conceding and Real are getting frustrated.

Eibar have their first sight of Real's net after Toni Kroos gives away a needless free-kick about 30-yards out. It leads to a scramble inside Real's penalty area but it comes to nothing. Set-pieces could be key for the visitors.
