Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence looks to be in some discomfort but is continuing for the time being.

Boro still have their full five subs to use, Hull have just two remaining.

Nice attack down their left from Middlesbrough.

Hayden Coulson releases Marvin Johnson down the left after a bright run and Johnson tries to cut the ball back to Coulson.

One of Wigan Athletic's administrators says there have been 12 different expressions of interest in taking over the Championship side.

The Latics entered administration on Wednesday citing financial problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

They are 14th in the second tier, eight points above the relegation places.

But they face a 12-point deduction this season if they finish outside the bottom three or next season if they end up in the relegation zone.

"I've got 12 interested parties who have emailed me already," said administrator Gerald Krasner.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 17:53 British Summer Time 2 July 2020

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

A game that started brilliantly and then went downhill pretty rapidly.

Britt Assombalonga gave the visitors the lead from the penalty spot inside the opening four minutes but Hull levelled through Herbie Kane's lovely free-kick after just seven minutes.

Thereafter it's been very scrappy and the hosts have been forced into two injury substitutions with both Kane and Callum Elder forced off.

A draw wouldn't be a bad result for Boro but Hull, winless since New Year's Day, really need to make the most of games against the teams around them.

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

This game would really benefit from the half-time whistle going...

  8. YELLOW CARDpublished at 45+3 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

This really hasn't been one for the purists.

The first seven minutes aside we've had precious little football from either side.

Mallik Wilks picks up the game's first yellow card as he trips Middlesbrough winger Hayden Coulson on the halfway line.

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

We're into SEVEN minutes of stoppage time.

  10. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Some patient Middlesbrough build-up ends with a ball chipped into the middle for Britt Assombalonga that home keeper George Long punches to safety.

The visitors then win a free-kick around 40 yards from goal that they totally waste.

Boss Neil Warnock will not like that. He will not like that at all.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 40 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Hull make their second change as Kevin Stewart comes on for Callum Elder.

Elder certainly looked like he felt he could continue but the medical team made the call that he could not.

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Hull's medical team have made the decision that Callum Elder can't continue from the looks of things.

The hosts are down to 10 men for the time being.

  13. Postpublished at 35 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Another potential Hull injury as Callum Elder is down needing treatment after running into the elbow of Paddy McNair as the former Manchester United man headed towards goal.

The Tigers have already used one of their five subs as goalscorer Herbie Kane was forced off.

  14. Postpublished at 33 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

George Honeyman swings it in to a good area but after a few deflections and swings at it the referee eventually blows for a Middlesbrough free-kick.

  15. Postpublished at 32 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Mallik Wilks again gets the better of Marvin Johnson and wins a free-kick for Hull in a dangerous area.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 26 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

    Not good news for Hull.

Goalscorer Herbie Kane can't continue after going down with a muscle problem and Geroge Honeyman is called into the action.

The former Sunderland man will be bang up for this.

  17. Postpublished at 23 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

    And that's drinks.

Middlesbrough made the dream start through Britt Assombalonga's penalty before Herbie Kane levelled up with a wonderful free-kick on seven minutes.

The visitors have had much the better of it since then.

  18. Postpublished at 21 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

As I was just saying about Patrick Roberts...

Again Boro look to get the ball out to him as quickly as possible and he does well to drift inside a couple of challenges.

However, he's off balance by the time he shoots from 18 yards out and it's in the stands.

  19. Postpublished at 19 mins

    Hull 1-1 Middlesbrough

Patrick Roberts is on loan at Middlesbrough from Manchester City having endured a pretty tough past couple of seasons.

He's looked really lively so far today and Boro will definitely hope they can benefit from one of his enterprising runs.

The game has just been a little stop-start with a few niggly fouls and throw ins disrupting things after the crazy opening seven minutes.

Patrick Roberts drifts in off the Middlesbrough right and tries his luck from 20 yards but it's blocked away.
