    Championship table

This is how the picture looks at the foot of the Championship table right now.

If Hull can end their long, long wait for a win today then they'll climb out of the relegation zone and up to 19th.

A second successive win for Middlesbrough under new boss Neil Warnock would take them five points clear of the bottom three with six to play.

As mentioned previously, Wigan sit eight points above the bottom three but have an impending 12-point deduction.

No doubt about it, this is a big one.

Both of these teams will have been keen viewers of the news that Wigan are facing a 12-point deduction at the end of the season for entering administration.

The Latics are currently eight points above the relegation zone.

However, with Paul Cook's side in terrific form the teams struggling near the foot of the table will need to pick up points of their own.

Huddersfield's 3-0 win at Birmingham yesterday moved them three points clear of the relegation zone and put Blues back in the conversation of teams who could go down.

Middlesbrough assistant manager Kevin Blackwell was busy building an outdoor kitchen when he got a phonecall to join up with Neil Warnock on Teesside last week.

One game and one win later he's probably feeling like he made the right choice.

Another win today and, much like the Blackwell family's hopes of having an outdoor kitchen this summer, Boro's relegation worries could be a thing of the past.

They face a Hull City side who are without a win since New Year's Day and in need of a win to move back out of the relegation zone.

Good afternoon and welcome to live text coverage of Hull City v Middlesbrough.
