Louie Sibley v Ben Watson is developing into an intriguing side-show within this already interesting east midlands derby between Derby and Forest.

Every time the 18-year-old gets the ball, there's Watson like an over-zealous bodyguard to keep him at bay.

He must escape those clutches, and did for a second but his cross is stubbed behind by Matty Cash. Derby corner.

Having been deathly quiet at the start of this second half, Forest have just burst into life.

Joe Lolley cracks a low shot from the edge of the box, and Ben Hamer again dives to parry wide.

Forest get a corner after Derby switch off, but it's cleared. Then Watson drills low toward goal from the rebound and it's Ben Hamer who dives low to palm away.

You have to say that Wayne Rooney hasn't had much influence on this game so far, even in a 'quarterback' role at the base of midfield.

Derby might have looked to the veteran to provide the spark, the quality and the class to unlock Forest.

How does he impose himself on the match more?

Forest ring the changes, with Sammy Ameobi and Thiago Silva coming on for Nuno Da Costa and Samba Sow. Silk rather than steel.

Da Costa has grafted hard, if it stays like this he'll have played his part.

Ryan Yates, looking every bit the Phantom of the Opera extra with his mask on, goes down in the box after another testing Derby delivery into the box.

He's bloodied and about to be patched up.

It was pinball stuff, neither side able to get a clean swipe on it. To be honest it's more reminiscent of Shrovetide football in Ashbourne than the EFL at Pride Park.

Ben Watson snaps into a tackle on Wayne Rooney as he advances forward to support the Derby attack. It proves a key one with the former England captain threatening.

Although Forest look comfortable, they need to break the Rams' stranglehold on this game sometime.
