    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Munir's shot is his last act of the evening, as he is replaced by January signing Suso.

    Sevilla have come to life.

Ter Stegen is again drawn into a decent save, palming away another angled effort, this time from the left from Munir.

  3. GREAT SAVE!published at 55 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

And there is the real danger Sevilla possess. They charge in down the right through Ocampos, whose fierce angled drive is superbly palmed away by Ter Stegen.

Best chance the home side have fashioned. And Barca are indebted to their keeper.

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Barcelona just don't have that cutting edge at the moment. I mean, it is totally understandable in the circumstances. Few sides are truly up to speed after the break. It is making Sevilla's contain and break strategy a much easier one to employ.

Antoine Griezmann is warming up. Could he be the spark?

  5. Postpublished at 47 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Sevilla's turn to attack as half-time substitute Ever Banega's superb ball releases De Jong down the left. The striker's low ball into the box is a tad aimless, though, and Pique is able to divert it away from danger.

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Messi immediately drops deep in search of the ball, picks it up and floats a cross into the box that is designed for the charging Rakitic but is claimed by Vaclik.

Off we go again. Come on lads, let's have some proper entertainment.

Ever Banega is on for Oliver Torres for Sevilla.

Remember, a draw here opens the door for Real Madrid to draw level and possibly even go top on goal difference if they beat Real Sociedad on Sunday.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 45+5 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

The players are still having words as they troop off at the break.

Well, it has added a bit of spice to this at least.

  11. YELLOW CARDSpublished at 45+5 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Fernando gets a yellow for Sevilla, Busquets for Barca. That is for some pushing and pulling in the big coming together.

    But nothing for Messi. Hmm.

Oh, it's kicked off a bit here at the end of the half. We've got a bit of a melee. Messi starts it by shoving Diego Carlos, who had just fouled him. Ref has a big call to make here.

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

The final ball simply hasn't been there so far, from either side. Barca have had many more opportunities to deliver one but too often it has been either attempted through a body of players or simply poorly hit.

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

We're into the final minute of a pretty stale first half.

  15. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

More defending for Barca to do. Torres chips in a cross that Clement Lenglet has to get a strong header to, to clear. To ease the pressure a tad, Messi controls and cleverly draws a foul.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 39 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

This is Sevilla's best little spell of the game, played predominantly in the Barca half. The visitors are not really stretched, though, until Pique is forced to lunge in on Munir - a foul that brings him a booking.

  17. Postpublished at 37 mins

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

Sevilla with a rare charge forward earns them a couple of corners in succession. Suarez clears the danger, chesting the ball away at the near post.

    What a waste.

Herby: Sevilla are definitely a different side from the past seasons. Not gonna be an easy ride for Messi.

    Sevilla 0-0 Barcelona

As we go into the first-half drinks break, I can't really recap anything of note for you. It's been largely Barca on the ball but there have been few chances of note.
