David McGoldrick tees up Sander Berge on the free-kick. He's a long way out but hits it cleanly. He would need something special to beat Nick Pope from there though. The Burnley keeper manages to keep hold of it under pressure.

I think both teams will be happy with a point, they can move on from that. But never say never in football, it just needs that little bit of quality in the final third.

Dwight McNeil floats a really good ball in for Chris Wood but his control lets him down.

There's enough players back to deal with it and Sheffield United immediately go long for Lys Mousset. He wins a free-kick in a good position after a clumsy tackle from Kevin Long too.

Dwight McNeil will be having nightmares about that miss if it stays like this...

Burnley have a free-kick on the right but David McGoldrick does his job at the back post, nodding it behind for a corner with James Tarkowski creeping up behind him.

We were surprised with a short corner but we said they needed to do something different and they have. It's the first time they've won the first contact in the penalty area and it's a tremendous half-volley. It's a hell of a strike - hit sweet as a nut.

Sheffield United take a short corner and whip it from player to player around the eage of the box.

George Baldock then dinks it in, Billy Sharp flicks it on and it drops to John Egan, who absolutely thumps it into the net on the half volley.

That is a golden opportunity, it sat up perfectly. Jay Rodriguez made a good connection and it's a stinging shot. That's as good a chance as you're going to see for Burnley to get a second.

    Burnley 1-0 Sheffield United

    What a hit!

Jay Rodriguez chests the ball down, turns sharply and has a go from about 30 yards out on the half volley.

It's a brilliant effort and Dean Henderson throws his arms up in front of his face to block it but the rebound bounces straight to Dwight McNeil in the box.

He should bury it but doesn't connect with it properly and scuffs it wide. Should be 2-0!
