Pablo Fornals' deep cross is well handled by Martin Dubravka and he sets Joelinton off down the left. His touch takes it past Declan Rice but he's penalised for a shirt tug.

West Ham are pressing high and pouncing on a few defensive errors from Newcastle.

Michail Antonio does just that and wins a free-kick, while Mark Noble receives instructions on the touchline. Looks like he'll be coming on.

Jambarrell: Enjoying these kick off times - four back-to-back televised matches Sat + Sun including evening games. Can we keep it like this in future?

Declan Rice intercepts the ball but almost passes it directly to Miguel Almiron. Issa Diop reads it well and sticks an important leg out to stop it running through.

Josh Verrills: Huge half of football for West Ham - especially with all the teams around them in the table having dropped points so far this weekend. A point against an in-form Newcastle would be a great result - three points would be a massive step towards PL survival.

Michail Antonio launches a long throw-in from the right and finds Issa Diop. He has his back to goal though, and tries to get enough power on it but only heads it up and over.

Newcastle have come out brightly in the second half. Jonjo Shelvey threads it through to Allan Saint-Maximin, who lays it off to Miguel Almiron.

He strikes it from the edge of the box but drags it wide.

Emil Krafth and Miguel Almiron link-up well down the right before it's fizzed in to the near post.

Angelo Ogbonna gets in the way and from the resulting corner, Jonjo Shelvey's cross is headed wide by Jamaal Lascelles.

More goals in the second half? I hope so.

It was a half of two-halves. The way West Ham started in the first minute great and then they were just pushed back. Oddly, the same thing happened to Newcastle after they scored. It's been played at a brilliant pace. I'll be surprised if there's no more goals.

Miguel Almiron is the first Paraguayan player to score at least four PL goals in a single season since Roque Santa Cruz for Blackburn Rovers in 2008/09 (four).

Anyone who is watching this game doesn't want Allan Saint-Maximin to go off. He lights up the game. I'm hopeful he'll be back on, he's got the whole of half time to get over it.

Allan Saint-Maximin hobbles off after some treatment but it looks like he'll be okay to come back on.

Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin have both gone down injured for Newcastle so Craig Pawson has halted play.

Saint-Maximin just seemed to bash his knee as he fell awkwardly. Steve Bruce is doing his best to look calm.

At this moment in time West Ham won't want the half-time break. They are having more of the ball, and even though they're not creating clear-cut chances they are playing better than they were for 20 minutes or so.
