    Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)

Ollie Watkins and Said Benrahma combine well again for the hosts and Benrahma goes on a good run, charging across the centre of the pitch just outside the area, but his shot swerves wide of the top corner.

Swansea are having a decent spell of territory now and they force a corner, but the Bees do well to clear the immediate danger.

  3. Postpublished at 31 mins

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)

Brentford look much more like the Brentford we saw in their first seven games back after the restart in June, rather than the Brentford we saw in their past three outings, which all ended in defeats.

  4. CLOSE!published at 27 mins

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)

You'd back Said Benrahma to score here, as he races on to Ollie Watkins' pass, after Watkins had used his strength to hold it up well... But Benrahma's low shot is blocked, as several Swansea defenders race back in to their box.

Initially, Benrahma had way too much room. The Swans are quite open at the back.

Off they go for the first-half drinks break, and I'm sure thousands of fans of both teams will need one.

Brentford have turned the tie on its head.

  6. Postpublished at 22 mins

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)

The way both teams are set up right now, you wouldn't rule out another three or four more goals tonight. Great stuff for a neutral.

Former Brentford captain Jake Bidwell heads wide at the far post for Swansea, from their latest attack.

  7. HITS THE WOODWORK (Brentford)published at 19 mins

    Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)

It's end-to-end now and Swansea almost have a third, but Said Benrahma's low effort hits the inside of the post.

It's one of those that rolls across the face of goal behind the keeper after hitting the post, and goes out on the opposite side. Millimetres from a goal.

Seconds earlier, at the other end, Conor Gallagher went close for Swansea but David Raya made a good low save to his left.

    Cracking game, this.

  9. goal

    GOAL: Brentford 2-0 Swansea (2-1 agg)published at 15 mins

    Emiliano Marcondes

The Bees lead in the tie! A rapid turnaround.

Said Benrahma, one of the Championship's players of the year, has time to whip in a good cross from the left, cutting in with his right foot, and his delivery picks out Emiliano Marcondes in the middle. The marking isn't great but his header is excellent and it's suddenly 2-1 on aggregate. Wow!

  10. Postpublished at 13 mins

    Brentford 1-0 Swansea (1-1 agg)

It took less than 11 minutes for Brentford to cancel out Swansea's 1-0 advantage from Sunday's first leg.

Just in case you're wondering, the away goals rule is not used in the EFL play-offs.

    Ollie Watkins

The first-leg lead is wiped out! Brentford break quickly, through the centre, and Mathias Jensen's through ball picks out Ollie Watkins really nicely.

Watkins' run is decent too and he finishes well, low in to the corner, with enough power to find the net even though I think Erwin Mulder gets a slight touch on it.

A dream start for the hosts.

  12. YELLOW CARD (Brentford)published at 9 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Swansea, 0-1 agg

Henrik Dalsgaard gets the game's first booking, going in a bit late on Conor Gallagher from behind.

  13. OFFSIDEpublished at 6 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Swansea

The visitors' Rhian Brewster is played clean through on goal, in acres of space... But the flags up. He's just offside. Sian Massey-Ellis is running the line and gets the decision spot on.

Brewster, for what it's worth, clipped wide of goal, but I think he'd seen the flag go up.

  14. Postpublished at 4 mins

    Brentford 0-0 Swansea

The Bees' Emiliano Marcondes has the game's first shot at goal, which swerves awkwardly from distance, but Swansea keeper Erwin Mulder palms it away.

It was straight at Mulder in the end, but moved around a lot in the air. Decent effort.

  20. 'It's still 0-0' - Cooperpublished at 19:34 British Summer Time 29 July 2020

    Brentford v Swansea, 0-1 agg (19:45 BST)

Swansea boss Steve Cooper insists they will play to win this second leg, even though a draw tonight would be enough take them to Wembley.

"It's still all to play for - it's still in the balance," the Swansea head coach said.

"We have a small advantage, but it's only an advantage if you use it. As far as I am concerned, it will be 0-0 and we go to play normally. We certainly won't be playing for a draw.

"I think that would be a dangerous game. It doesn't suit our mentality - we want to be positive. If you are 1-0 up or 1-0 down at half-time, you don't think it's done. That will be our mentality."
