  1. MISSED PENALTY - Jorge Molina (Getafe)published at 21:35 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

    Inter Milan 1-0 Getafe

    Oh dear, oh dear.

Jorge Molina drags his penalty well wide of the left post and Inter Milan survive a big, big scare.

    Can Getafe pick themselves up?

  2. New role for Tahith Chongpublished at 21:34 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

    Man Utd 1-1 LASK

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

With Luke Shaw missing until September through injury, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is presumably trying to keep Brandon Williams fit.

That would be the only reason to bring Tahith Chong on at left-back.

Chong is normally an attacking wide player.

  3. PENALTY - Getafepublished at 21:33 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

    Inter Milan 1-0 Getafe

Referee Anthony Taylor is sent to check the pitchside monitor and takes little time to award Getafe a penalty after Diego Godin handles a cross into the box.

  4. Postpublished at 70 mins

LASK's Dominik Frierser has an effort from a tight angle and Sergio Romero keeps it out, but gets a bit lucky as the ball bounces off of him, but luckily not to another LASK man.

We've just had United's third change as Brandon Williams goes off with Tahith Chong getting 20 minutes to impress

Marc: Sanchez nearly gone, need to move on Smalling, Jones, Pereira, Mata & Lingard, all been at Utd for a while but none will help us get to where we want to. But they might be the down payment for Sancho!

Sushant: Lingard will be disappointed. He was playing better than some of his teammates. Strange that Chong was not introduced.

Eric Bailly gets an accidental knee to the head, but he's playing on for now.

  7. Postpublished at 65 mins

By the way, Lingard's equaliser came just two minutes and 38 seconds after LASK's opener.

  8. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 64 mins

Man Utd 1-1 LASK (6-1 on aggregate)

Jesse Lingard's just scored and now he's hooked with Paul Pogba coming on. Lingard's not looking too chuffed with that decision.

Fred has also trotted off, with Andreas Pereira replacing him.

Josh: As a United fan, you have to hold your hands up to a brilliant strike. Seems to have woken us up finally, nice to see Lingard on the score sheet again (even though it's probably an OG)

  10. Lingard's on firepublished at 21:22 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

    Man Utd 1-1 LASK

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

Jesse Lingard scored his first Premier League goal of the season in the final minute of Manchester United's last game against Leicester.

Now he has made it two from two with a confident finish.

It's the first time Lingard has scored in consecutive games since December 2018.

  11. Postpublished at 62 mins

    Man Utd 1-1 LASK

Two goals in two games for Jesse Lingard after he scored in injury time in the 2-0 win over Leicester on the final day of the Premier League season.

  12. goal

    GOAL - Man Utd 1-1 LASK (6-1 on aggregate)published at 57 mins

    Jesse Lingard (Man Utd)

But United are only behind for a couple of minutes. Juan Mata sends the ball into space, Jesse Lingard has broken the offside trap and is clean through with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Philipp Wiesinger, who has just scored at one end, frantically tries to get back and Lingard's shot clips Wiesinger and into the net it goes. Probably would've gone in anyway. One one on the night, United 6-1 ahead on aggregate.

Those of you who stayed with us after the dullest of dull first halves have been rewarded with a couple of goals.

  13. goal

    GOAL - Man Utd 0-1 LASK (5-1 on aggregate)published at 55 mins

    Philipp Wiesinger (LASK)

A goal that deserves to be celebrated, not just met with absolute silence.

A corner from the right wing eventually falls to defender Philipp Wiesinger and he guides it into the top corner from 25 yards. A lovely, lovely strike.

  14. Postpublished at 53 mins

    Man Utd 0-0 LASK

Brandon Williams finds himself with the space of Old Trafford down the left. He slides a low ball across the face of goal, but Daniel James and then Jesse Lingard sliding in at the back door just can't get a touch.

Still, better from United in the opening five minutes of the second half.

  15. A shot at lastpublished at 21:11 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

    Man Utd 0-0 LASK

    Simon Stone
    BBC Sport at Old Trafford

A Manchester United shot on target. Finally.

Odion Ighalo did quite well to find himself some space in a crowded penalty area but his effort lacked power.

    This is tame stuff.

  16. Postpublished at 50 mins

Man Utd 0-0 LASK (5-0 on aggregate)

It's taken 49 minutes but we have a shot on target for United. Juan Mata runs at the visiting defence, slides it into the feet of Odion Ighalo who takes a touch to turn but slips as he shoots and it is easily stopped by Alexander Schlager.

  17. Postpublished at 47 mins

Man Utd 0-0 LASK (5-0 on aggregate)

Daniel James gets to the side of the penalty area but it's a really disappointing ball into the box.

He was looking for Odion Ighalo but it's far too close to the LASK goalkeeper. James is one of those players that would've been looking to give Solskjaer something to think about, but disappointing so far.

  18. Postpublished at 21:06 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

Wakey wakey. Second half is under way.

Peter: I'm sorry but I'm sick of teams not even bothering, fans pay to see a performance, not a team running down the clock from kick off, all teams should be forced to play their best teams, as anything else is an insult.

Nathan: The lad’s young and has great attributes but Daniel James is far from being ready even for a squad place at United. Zero end product. Pace is worthless without end product. He needs a couple of years out on loan.

George: This game is the proof that with these bench players, we cannot win the Premier League.

  20. 'If anyone deserves this it's Ake'published at 20:57 British Summer Time 5 August 2020

Manchester City announced they had completed the signing of defender Nathan Ake from Bournemouth earlier this evening.

Former team-mate Steve Cook has tweeted to say he will "watch on with pride" as Ake moves on to his next challenge.
